We believe a family meal is for conversation, connection, and celebration. Let our family cook for your family. Experience the convenience of delicious authentic italian food with 3 generations full of flavor.
We've been coming to this part of DFW for years, but this is the first time we came here. Stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner about 5:00, and they were already busy!
Once we got our food, with very reliable recommendations from our friendly waitress, we found out why... Garlic knots are amazing, house vinaigrette is bright and tasty, and the pizza ... Crispy, yet tender New York style thin crust, light sauce, and plenty of cheese.
Our first visit definitely won't be our last!!

Melt in your mouth Steak Fajitas - they were extra flavorful and tender on Valentines Day!
Love the chips and salsa and that you can order a ladle of their yummy queso with the fajitas if you don't want a whole bowl! Service usually good but once our server got a big table we did not see her again for a long while.

Real Mexican food is a feast for the senses. From colorful peppers to the sounds of sizzling fajitas all the way to that incredible flavor. Each mouthful is just as much a result of the freshest ingredients as it is a result of the chef's expertise. Abuelo's offers diners the opportunity to experience real Mexican food, combining authentic, made from scratch classic dishes with the rich, subtle flavors of coastal and interior Mexican cuisine. Our executive Chef Luis Sanchez has spent decades perfecting our menu, and we boast a wide selection of wood-grilled fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, Chile rellenos or Abuelo's unique House Specialties (depending on your location). To compliment your meal, our expert bartenders are masters at crafting signature favorites, including a wide variety of margaritas and swirls. Whatever the occasion, we'll stop at nothing to make your time at Abuelo's a memorable dining experience.
The first thing you notice about Abuelo's is how stunning the restaurant looks - on the inside and out. It's like a Mexican vacation resort (and this remains even after they relocated across the street). Generally that's a red flag for the RJG. this place is the bomb!
We lived in Bedford about 10 yrs ago. We frequented Bedford Snowball when we lived there, and have very fond memories of it. We missed it when we moved away. We were recently staying the night in Bedford before a flight. We happened to remember Bedford Snowball, and we had to go. Our favorite 10 yrs ago was the Strawberry Shortcake. Some things just don't quite live up to your memories. Bedford Snowball and their amazing Strawberry Shortcake was everything we remembered. They are SO good!
If you've never been there, you are totally missing out. We were so happy that they were still there and still had our favorites.

This place is usually busy and the noise level is high. Service is good but usually rushed. The mentor breakfast is extensive with a wide range of offerings. The pancakes are huge. The lunch menu is more limited but still offers some good choices. They are jot open for dinner. Parking is limited. The cafe is located in a strip mall ,so you may have to park so distance away. Check payment is at the counter. Breakfast is the best bet, good but lunch is average in miming Good value

The best Italian food in Texas! Great New York style Pizzas, Pastas, Seafood, Chicken and Veal Entrees.
Rainy day, a group of us had reservations, immediately greeted with drinks, and hot pasta fazo soup, just what we all needed. They have byob for wine, something to remember at night. Had great team of wait staff, hot rolls, I ordered fettuccine Alfredo, Not...MoreThank you for you wonderful review which highlighted what we are all about. We would love to welcome you back soon! This is a beautifully designed restaurant and has a great interior and superb decor! We were there for lunch. I had a soup and salad combination and my wife a salad. The wedding soup was beautifully prepared and delicious. The house salad was crisp with great Italian toppings and delicious fresh blue cheese dressing. My wife's said was a fresh mixture of mixed greens with fresh fruit. She did not care for the strawberry champagne, but it's not a show stopper. The only drawback I would say about this incredible restaurant is that the music was blaring loud. I'll be back next year and write a dinner review!

On a business trip to the area I visited this location twice, both times I sat at the bar, the first time the service was a bit slow, the second it was almost non existent. I order a drink and had an appetizer, after I finished my drink I flagged down the bartender to place a to-go order. Never once did any of the bar staff address me to ask if I wanted something else to drink. My only interaction with the staff was when I flagged them down. At times there are multiple people behind the bar, doing who knows what, except appearing to get in one anothers way. Finally after an extended wait I flagged down the bartender and requested he just ring me out. When I inquired into my food order he said "he had not had time to go the kitchen and get it". I like Pappadeaux food, but the service in this location knocks them off my list.

Our new location features a more comfortable dining room, a private dining area for large groups and a much better parking lot with easy access from Hurstview, Mid-Cities Blvd. And Grapevine Highway.
Chicken fried steak rated 8 on 10 scale for a breakfast meal. Tender meat. Classic breakfast not so much, bacon half cooked with raw ends two inches long. Rye toast soggy throughout.

Busy night, but they fit us (7) in two booths. Waited forever to be waited on, but finally ordered. My wife loved her Mousaka, my grandson orders a cheese pizza (he devoured it), my other grandson ordered the lamb souvlaki (great taste but tough), and I had super domades (they call them dolmas which are stuffed grape leaves). The saziki and pita bread was good, too. Again, the food was generally very good, but the service can be very spotty.
