I live in the area but have never eaten at this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at the decor and friendliness of the wait staff. Our prime rib was pretty good and served quite promptly. Overall a good experience though the prices were a little higher than I would expect. Worth a second visit.

Established in 2002. Chippy's Kettle Corn, LLC was started in 2002 by owners and culinarians, Scott and Linda Chipman. Serving farmers markets and community festivals, they have been traveling throughout WI and IL to prepare fresh-on-site kettle corn, caramel glazed, cheddar cheese and Chippy's Blend. Additionally, they offered Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade to show-goers. In July of 2012, the Chipmans expanded their business and opened Chippy's Popcorn Creations. Feeding their creative and culinary spirits, they offer over 40 flavors of specialty popcorns along with selections from preferred local vendors, such as locally roasted coffee, farmstead premium ice cream, locally grown popcorn seeds and WI soda pop. The shop continues to serve the local community year-round and the three mobile units can still be found on the road during the summer months.
I have had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Chippy's in a flea market and am now seeing them in a couple of farmer's markets. Their popcorn is delicious! When they told me a couple of years ago that they were opening a store in Beaver Dam, I knew it was going to be a special place, and it is. Its a fun little store. The variety of popcorn will satisfy anybody's tastes. Plus, you can sample before you buy!! From Popcorn(their specialty), to Candy, to Ice Cream. You can sit outside while eating popcorn or ice cream, and look at the beautiful view of the lake. I understand that the sunset is breathtaking! The delightful young lady, who was working that day, was very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys her job. She is a valuable asset to your establishment. I'm sorry I missed the owners.
Anytime I get to Beaver Dam, I will undoubtedly be stopping for a treat. I see Christmas gift baskets made up of Chippy's Popcorn Creations. Oh yes, they will make gift baskets for you too. I recommend a visit to CHIPPY's Popcorn Creations!

Needed a pre-work caffeine boost. The Higher Ground provided it and then some. Was pleasantly surprised to find fresh cinnamon rolls on the counter to pair with my coffee. Also, the staff was incredibly friendly.

Looking for something sweet and caffeinated, the barista recommended the turtle frappe to me. It was amazing, and definitely tasted like it was made up of ice cream and not ice cubes. Highly recommended for those on the same quest as I was on. I made a point of having another later in my trip before leaving town.

Btw, since they dropped the franchise, they now call it "Blue Boy." I have been coming here since my teen years (I am 55 now) and still enjoy stopping occasionally, even though my kids are grown and gone. Lots of ice cream treats to choose from and a fair sized food menu. Hey, it's not high end but this place is a throw back to when times were simpler.

This is a fantastic restaurant. We stopped in last year and again this year while attending the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh. The food is fantastic. I'm partial to the Carnitas, but everything my family has ordered on both occasions was fantastic. The staff are welcoming and do a great job. Food comes out pretty quickly and the portions are generous. We didn't try them, but the margaritas looked quite impressive! Looking forward to our visit next year. Definitely the best restaurant option in Beaver Dam.

Benvenuto's Italian Grill is a locally owned and operated company with multiple locations. We are a casual dining restaurant that is great for a business lunch or a family dinner.
Who could imagine in sweet little Beaver Dam, WI., we'd find such a white tablecloth, classy, italian restaurant in the heart of dairy country. Our waiter, Preston, was a breath of fresh air. He went beyond what I expected to ensure that my special dietary request satisfied my needs. He was patient, attentive and unobtrusively checked back repeatedly if we were happy. He did that with all his guests. The whole restaurant staff and atmosphere was happy. The guests were of all generations, and treated equally well. Meals are large and somewhat costly, but truly worth it. It's not just the good food, but the way it is served that makes a meal, and a restaurant great.
