Bayside is an upper-middle class neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. The neighborhood is in the eastern section of Flushing and is part of Queens Community Board 11. CNN Money ranked Bayside as one of the most expensive housing markets nationally when analyzing comparable detached homes throughout the United States. Despite its large housing stock of free-standing homes, it nationally ranks high to very high in population density. These homes give the neighborhood a similar feel to other wealthy Queens neighborhoods such as Douglaston, Whitestone and Little Neck.

Everything about this restaurant is superb. I will take it over the fanciest restaurants in Manhattan. This time I had the hanger steak which was tender and perfectly cooked.
Tried the 3 soup sampler and it was great. My husband had the trout and loved it.
The service is phenomenal. They watch you carefully without being obtrusive.
The menu has so many offerings so there is something for everyone no matter what kind of diet you have.
Also the decor is quite nice and we had no problem with a noise level during dinner.
The owner oversees everything and is lovely.
If you are anywhere in the area, or even if you are not, this is a must visit.

The steaks cannot be topped. The problem is the restaurant's attitude toward reservations. You can arrive on time only to wait a half hour or more. Half of the tables are all booked for the same time. That means a line of cars waiting to get into the lot, and a line of diners trying to find room to stand in the restaurant while regulars are seated first, and then, in the fullness of time, everyone else.

For almost three decades, Il Toscano has been known for taking fresh, seasonal ingredients and preparing sumptuous Northern Italian style cuisine.
There are plenty of good "neighborhood" Italian restaurants in the Long Island-Queens area, but if you're looking for a fine dining experience in Italian food, go no farther than Il Toscano in Douglaston. With an upscale Manhattan vibe, this restaurant is in a class by itself....Excellent, creative cuisine, exemplary service, a very good wine list and relatively reasonable prices make this place a standout. We had the sea bass special and bronzino which were both excellent...beautifully presented and delicious! Highly recommended.

Mediterranean/Continental/Restaurant
The village of Floral Park is home to many excellent restaurants, but Crabtrees, who gets its name from The Little Rascals, pleasantly surprised me. The restaurant was elegantly decorated for the holiday season, the bar area was lively but not too loud, and the management and service was superb. But I came here to eat, and eat i did! The food was outstanding. The chicken tenders came with two sauces, and left no annoying aftertaste. The fried mushrooms, calamari, and zucchini were delicious, and the tomato and mozzarella was better than I expected. My tilapia, accompanied by beets, vegetables, and mashed potatoes was delectable! And the steak was perfectly cooked. The carrot cake, apple tart, and chicolate mousse cake were as good as you can get. Don't pass this place up!

There are lots of Greek restaurants in Bayside. For meat dishes, our favorite is Avli. It has a warm, casual atmosphere. We enjoyed humus for appetizer (much better than store bought) and gyro sandwiches for entrees. Love their gyros. Ordered a side of lemon potatoes - delicious!

This is one of our top favorites. It offers casual fine dining in our neighborhood. The owner is renowned chef Maria, winner of the Chopped TV chefs competition competition.
We enjoyed grilled octopus (cooked to perfection) and Greek salad for appetizer; swordfish and lemon potatoes for entrees; and an interesting Greek dessert recommended by our waiter, for dessert. The specialties are fish. They are fantastic!

Lunched in this authentic Asian restaurant. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Dined on the lunch specials, sweet and sour, lo mein and shrimp in lobster sauce. We were 3 people so shared. Lobster Sauce which can typically be a difficult dish to cook correctly was perfect - nice and thick vs some places that serve it to thin (liquidy)more like a soup. Very, very tasty. Sweet and sour was very light and scrumptious too, not too heavy (which was good) as it was a mid day meal and not dinner. Lo Mein - not greasy, which helped to make it even more tasty. Will gladly eat in this establishment again.

The place to meet, eat and enjoy the finer things in life. Specializing in 21 day dry aged USDA Prime meats, Kobe beef, Australian lobster tails and offering a wide array of seafood and wines. Join us for our old world charm and impeccable service. William Jack Degel honors his Godfather, the proprietor of Jack's, a 1930's prohibition-style Victorian speak-easy. At Uncle Jack's, where the motto is "Customer is King," his legend lives on.
Having been here a few times, I wanted to send in a review. Validated valet parking eliminates any parking worries. Reservation was taken on time. Servive is always warm and friendly.
2 appetizers: Wagyu meatballs tasted very good and were nicely portioned. The lobster shrimp wontons were good, too although incredibly skimpy.
For entrees, the porterhouse for 2 was enjoyed by 1 couple and I had the Fred Flintstone ribeye. Mine came out very overcooked and a replacement was made as quickly as could be. In the end, it was definitely a bit pricy given the cut of meat. The brussel sprouts side was fine but the macaroni and cheese was excellent.
In an effort to make up for the overcooked steak, we were brought a sampling of 4 or 5 desserts (we were only 3 people) which was very generous and a very nice end to what was if not outstanding, was a very solid meal.

What a superb Mediterranean restaurant, specializing in Spanish and Italian cuisine. There is a bar along one side and several family sized round tables as well smaller ones. Wait staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed. A gentleman was playing the harp at one point, which was very nice. The food was delicious and portion sizes are huge. I was staying in the adjoining BW hotel but otherwise would have liked to have taken half my entree home with me. The lobster bisque was excellent as was the arroz con pollo.
A definite winner.

Authentic Greek Food.
Discovered it 2 years ago and have come back many times. Can't go wrong with simple gyros, salads, potatoes, French fries, all cooked to order and fresh. Beers, soft drinks. Can be very crowded. On a nice night, all windows completely opened up.
Polyglot patrons. Largely Greek waiters but not all. You are greeted with a smile. Also can order take out.
Reasonably priced. Leave a good tip!
