Good food and good drinks, nothing fancy, great atmosphere. One of the better choices in a small town.

Wanting a quick meal for my husband and myself, I went through the drive-through to pick up dinner after doing some chores in town. I ordered two sandwiches and two medium blizzards. Driving to the pickup, I was given a cup with ice cream and a few sprinkles of topping on it, and I asked what this was. The lady said that I had ordered ice cream in a cup. I said no, I had ordered blizzards. She said no, she knew that I had ordered a cup and a cone. I responded that no, I had ordered two blizzards. She rolled her eyes and had another make a blizzard. He returned with clearly a small blizzard and I asked if that was a medium. She said no, I had ordered small, and she would have to charge me if I wanted medium. I said no, I had ordered mediums, but I didn't mind a charge if that was necessary and asked what it would be. She said she didn't know. I told her I needed to know before agreeing. She again rolled her eyes, shut the window, and got back to me a full minute later with the amount, insisting again that I had ordered a cup and a cone. I told her I wanted her name and the name and phone number of her manager. She said it didn't matter because "my old man owns the place." I told her I didn't care, I wanted to speak to her manager, and as there was a line, I wanted the phone number (as I didn't want to hold up traffic which I didn't explain to her but felt was obvious). She rolled her eyes again and went to the back, getting a man who came and told me what the charge would be to upgrade to mediums. I told him the problem, and he didn't bother offering even a word of platitude, just stared at me and repeated that if I wanted to upgrade to mediums, what the charge would be. I told him I did not expect to come back ever again - and his response was "Great. I hope you never do" and he slammed the window shut.
I have never, ever, ever been treated so poorly by any service personnel anywhere, and to think that this was an owner is flabberghasting. I hope that others read my review and never, ever patronize this particular establishment.
Further, they put hardly any topping in the blizzards, making the food worse than average as well.

This is a place where visitors can get the "FLAVOR" of Batesville, & SouthEast "Hoosier Land" !!! I have to remind myself that I'm not in an "old European village." The buildings are magnificently preserved, and a stop in this place fits into the "old country" setting. As you read other reviews, you get that it's a "gathering place," to have a coffee, treat, & relax a few !!! They have working "WIFI," & popular national news papers, as well a local.

We couldn't wait to try the restaurant considering how great the wine is but it was a disappointing and disturbing. It took forever before anyone acknowledged our presence. The waitress wanted to be anywhere but waiting on us. The salad was a joke. I saw a kitten outside and when I asked the waitress about it she hatefully informed me " It belongs to the owner with 500 other inbreed kittens the owner won't take care of!!" NICE!! Needless to say we won't be giving them any more of our money and it's my favorite wine. The young girl at the front desk was the only one who seemed concerned about the customers and was actually friendly.

Great food, outstanding service, diverse menu. Very accommodating for our large group for breakfast. Impressed with our waitress--super friendly, efficient, helpful. Went back the next day for lunch. Again, all of us liked our food. The waiter didn't write down anyone's order (and there were 9 of us) and every person got exactly what they wanted and how they wanted it. Highly recommend this place if you're in Batesville.

The Restaurant at Walhill Farm is more than a place to eat, it is a destination. A butcher shop, catering hall, theater, and restaurant that hosts classes, special events, corporate retreats, family reunions, and any excuse for a party throughout the year.
This place had been on the radar for quite a while and finally got the chance yesterday to eat there. When the first course came out, I knew why it was renown. The tuna sashimi was huge and fabulous. It would serve as a main course.
Next was the Caesar salad, which was the most authentic (and delicious) Caesar I've seen for years.
The main courses delivered along the same lines.
We even bought meat to take home.
Can't wait to go back.

This is close to I-74 off Exit 149. Good food. Reasonable prices. They have a good drink menu selection. I ate their twice while in Batesville IN on business.

This was our first experience with skyline chili ! It was different than we expected. First, they have waitresses that take your order. Second, they don't have many condiments for your hotdog - no mayonnaise, no relish, no kraut. Third, they do have an interesting variety of items on the menu, but all have either diced chicken or skyline chili. Service was fast & the restaurant was clean.

BOTTOM LINE (on top) - we will definitely go there again, given the opportunity.
We stopped there on a Saturday evening; LaRosa's is a short walk across the way from our motel. This is a family oriented business, with a great atmosphere. We were seated in a corner booth, giving us privacy AND a nice view of activity in the restaurant. Friendly staff; fast service & good food. BIG salads. Next time I MUST try the pizza.
My wife had a chocolate brownie sundae thing; luckily, she shared it with me. Bought cookies to go, for a late evening snack.

This family owned MD is the cleanest and nicest I have ever been too. They always are super polite and the food is fresh. If your driving through and want MD this is the best one on 74
