Mansions and majestic hotels serve as reminders of Bar Harbor’s past (in the 19th century, it was a favorite vacation spot of society’s upper crust). Today, visitors kayak, explore Acadia National Park, go bird- or whale-watching, and enjoy salty sea air and sandy beaches.

Phil & Kelly Corson welcome you to their family owned and operated lobster takeout restaurant. Previously located at our old location 864 State Hwy. 3, we have moved to our new location - a brand new building, more parking and full restrooms. The Corson family has been lobstering for generations. Captain Phil delivers the freshest catch daily. Customers can hand pick their own lobsters. We are most known for our lobster dinners of lobster, mussels, corn, and melted butter along with our "overflowing" lobster roll. We pick our lobster meat fresh daily sometimes twice. We provide the best of local seafood at affordable prices. We have outdoor seating only. Open late May - October. We've added fire pits and tower heaters for the ultimate outdoor eating experience!
Had the lobster dinner for 2 for $33! Very casual dining, picnic style, fireside with a lantern. The food, the ambience, the price-couldnt be better!!!

Rose Eden Lobster is the former Travelin' Lobster. We are continuing to serve fresh Maine lobster, at the same location, at an affordable price cooked the way it has always been cooked. We are still primarily a takeout restaurant but as always we have limited outdoor seating for those who choose to eat under the apples trees. We are a seasonal business open from 26 May to 1 November. The business was started to provide fresh seafood for the people staying at Rose Eden Cottages. It evolved into much more than that when people who weren't staying at the cottages discovered they could also buy fresh seafood at a reasonable price. That led to a much improved lobster shack that is now in operation from 25 May to 1 November. Dylan, who is a teacher in the off season, has been involved in all phases of the Rose Eden Lobster (former Travelin' Lobster) since its inception.
We loved the idea of being able to take a lobster dinner back to the house! As anyone who has attacked a whole lobster knows, it can be a messy business, and it's much easier to enjoy it in private. The service was quick, maybe 20 minutes later we were on our way with a well-packed hot pair of lobsters, accompanied by steamed mussels and corn.
Imagine how disappointed we were when we cracked them open! The amount of salt in the lobsters was exceeded only by the saltiness of the mussels. The mussels were so salty they were bitter. The lobsters - slightly less, but still extremely salty. The corn was protected from the salt by its leaves, though.
The mussels went straight in the trash, the lobsters were eaten (we were pretty hungry by that point), and the corn was used to clear away the taste of salt. I don't know if the saltiness is somehow inherent in the process, but I hope not, because otherwise this would be an excellent service.

We went there to explore this funky idea of dining and movie watching. The setting is cool, interesting. We decided to keep the movie for another day and ordered the take out for pizzas/ pies. The pizza was very delicious, the gourmet items like olives were amazingly tasty. Wheat crust is one of the options ! Unique place in Bar Harbour.

serving breakfast and dinner, considered casual and fine dining. Large breakfast menu, and eclectic dinner menu.
We enjoyed a meal in mid-October, likely just prior to the restaurant closing for the season. As such, perhaps the menu did not have as many choices as it might have in earlier times. I tried the lobster roll, and my wife had a grilled fish entrée. Good, OK, satisfactory, at best. Perhaps we should have gone for breakfast, seems that is where they might excel in this small village.

C-Ray Lobster is the local's trusted seafood shop and take-out eatery. C-ray is the source for lobster dinners, lobster rolls, steamer clams, mussels and the day's catch of island caught seafood either live or cooked onsite, or packed to travel. All of our lobsters are brought straight from the traps to our store, and C-ray's owner harvests the steamers, mussels and cherrystones himself, by hand, each morning. C-Ray's bakery section is famous for the areas most delicious pies and from-scratch baked goods. Check out our Wild Maine Blueberry or Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Decadent breakfast pastries, and picnic fix in's to take away! We're local fisherman and chef owned and operated! C-Ray is a true hidden gem, located just 3 miles from the Trenton bridge and 7 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. C-ray is no fuss, no frills, just great food served with a heaping helping of Downeast Maine hospitality. We are open late may through october 11 am to dark and stating after september 5th we will be closed on sundays through October 15th and in June we will be closed on Mondays. July and August we are open 7 days a week!
This place provides the authentic lobster shack experience. They have amazing lobster and crab rolls, incredible blueberry pie, and a laid-back outdoor setting. They also have a lobster dinner for two that was very popular and reasonably priced. Everything is cooked to order and brought out to your picnic table when ready.
They do accept credit cards, and the location is a short drive from town. This place was the best one out of several that we tried throughout the region. We liked it so much we went back the next day! Highly recommended!

This place is a great find! Use the Trip Advisor App to help navigate if needed. The food is high quality fine dinning taste and the place itself is a cozy pub. We sat near the kitchen which was fun to see them cooking while we quizzed each other with the trivia cards on the table. The mussels were amazing! I wanted to drink the broth it was so good! The pioccino was also amazing and the rosemary scallops were done perfectly. The wait staff were very attentive but not annoying at all. They have a full bar & live music on Saturday nights if you decided to hang around. Very happy we overheard another couple talking about this place the night before while at breakfast!

Mache is a casual neighborhood bistro in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine. We offer an ever-changing menu:our appetizers, salads, entrees, small plates, and house-made desserts are prepared with the finest produce, freshest seafood, and organic & natural meats available. Full bar and eclectic wine list.
A delightful restaurant with a contemporary menu. Altho the Rose I selected was unavailable, all else was great. Congenial server explained all nicely. Seared Brussels sprouts to start were tasty albeit a little firm. Pumpkin seed dusted scallops were perfectly prepared. Mushroom risotto entrée thrilled as well. Key lime tart for dessert topped off meal perfectly. Highly recommend.

Thrive Juice Bar and Kitchen offers quick and delicious food, raw juices and smoothies to fuel your adventures in and around Acadia National Park. Choose from a menu full of gluten free and vegan baked goods, well-balanced raw juices, superfood smoothies, signature salads and packaged snacks and sandwiches.
My daughter who lives and works in Bar Harbor in the summer, recommend Thrive, and so glad I took her recommendation. It is expensive but it so tasty. I opted for the breakfast bowl with granola, over her usually smoothie. I choose Thrive for a breakfast on the go each time I visit.

Enjoy the fresh air and relaxation of our outdoor cafe overlooking Frenchman Bay. The Terrace Grille serves Lunch and Dinner daily from 11:30am. Open to the public and no reservations necessary.
We had boiled whole lobster with a lovely view of the harbor. Service was very good - our server was knowledgable, attentive and friendly. The boiled lobster was very good and reasonably priced. The plate it came on could have been a little bigger. The corn on the cob was the only disappointment - it was starchy, not real sweet - possibly overcooked. The blueberry corn muffin was yummy. For dessert we had the berry shortcake and bananas foster bread pudding both good not great. The short bread was a little dry and dense and the berries were around it rather than in between the layers. The bread pudding was more like a steamed banana bread than what I think of as bread pudding but tasty. The whipped cream on both desserts was over-whipped - too dense. I think because we were eating outside on a cool evening nothing arrived hot but it didn't really take away from the food and atmosphere. Overall a lovely evening.

A local took us to this restaurant for dinner. It was outstanding. Full Disclosure our host was is foodie who eats here often, knows the owner and money is no object. While we had to wait a few minutes for the perfect table, according to our host, they immediately offered us drinks. Upon being seated I was immediately impressed with our waiter. His level of knowledge of the food and the wines was amazing, including being able to discuss the specific grapes. Not often found in your standard waiter. We enjoyed everything. For Appetizers we Little Neck Clams with Crispy Kale and Gorgonzola and beet salad. Dinner was Grilled Jumbo Scallops & Squid in Miso Broth along with Code Fish Special. We shared a wonderful desert. Our bottle of wine was also outstanding. Will return. Dinner was close to $200 per couple with tip.
