This is a do it yourself place with great food, generous portions, reasonable prices. Order at the counter, wait for your order to be called, pick up your condiments and food, and bus your own table. The food is outstanding. My favorite dish is bistec adovado.

Heading toward Sebring, stopped for coffee and a sandwich, service was fast, friendly, food was hot, and very good

The obvious favorite place of the locals and several seasonals. It appears to have an average menu in an average facility with average prices. The salad bar was fresh, but limited. This is what we chose after looking over the menu. The wait staff was friendly and provided good service. Don't go with high expectations and you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is in an attractive historic hotel in an interesting town. The brunch buffet was good quality and reasonably priced. The furnishings and the wall art significantly augmented our experience. If in the area, this is a worthwhile experience.

Friday is bread pudding day at the Depot, and it is the best bread pudding ever. We had two orders to go and enjoyed our favorite once again.

We went to this place on a whim and it was not bad, although there were several drawbacks. We seated ourselves, but for a time we weren't sure anybody saw us. After a while a waitress appeared with menus and specials.
It took a while for her to get back around to us. I had the signature 18 East burger while the wife had a Portabello Mushroom sandwich. My burger was good, albeit juicy - VERY juicy. The Portabello was slices and not the full cap - heavy garlic but not bad.
We upgraded to the onion chips which was a good decision. They are heavy on the seafood, but must change their cooking oil regularly as our chips were deep fried without a hint of fish.
It took a while for the waitress to get back and we had to ask for a check finally. I saw at least one other guy trying to flag her down. The place also is pretty loud to begin with and there's a bar, which also generated lots of noise.
The food was good, the service poor and at times we had to lean in to talk to each other. It might have been better had we been drinking.

Nana and her friends (locals) like this place off Highway 27. Small gift shop/convenience store, many varieties of soda, and ice cream stand. Food was okay. I had chef salad-had iceberg lettuce- nothing special. This place is know for its pizza, which I tried from a friend’s order and it was okay.

This is a slightly lower version of a KFC. The chicken is well prepared and quite tasty. The sides, however, are bland and just aren't anything to get excited about. No waiters or waitresses but once you get to the counter, service is reasonably quick. Mostly a take out place.

Very popular restaurant in the Highlands County area. Authentic Italian created with good ingredients. Pizza is delicious, so are the baked specialties. The sauce is delicious, which is important in a good Italian eatery. You can also get slices which is wonderful! Often go there for lunch! Sure to please the most picky Italian eaters. Mangia!
