There is nothing not to love about this restaurant. The place itself is absolutely beautiful. It's simple and incredibly charming. The service is amazing. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, as was everyone. And the food was fantastic. From the bread through the desert, it was absolutely delicious. Honestly one of the most enjoyable meals we've had, and we've been fortunate enough to eat at great places all over. If you're looking for an experience that borders on pretentious, this isn't it. No aged, shaved quail egg grated at the table (we've had it). But for a wonderful, charming experience with great food in a beautiful setting, go and enjoy!

The donuts are huge! The bakery smells so wonderful and the visit could be a great experience for the visitor if the counter staff was friendly!

The hot weather demanded a chilled matcha latte. My friend went for a frozen chocolate drink. We were both quite happy. This is a cute shop in downtown Auburn. You should make a stop when you are in the area doing the tourist stuff (Seward house, Tubman property, Wilber Chapel). They also sell tea at 3 Leaf. I recommend the blueberry matcha powder which can make a great smoothie with almond milk, blueberries, and a scoop of protein powder.

Our Miata club stopped here late this afternoon. The service is fast & friendly. Good burgers, hot dogs and good ice cream. Tables outside with umbrellas to keep you in the shade. We loved the place and are you you will too.

This is an exceptional restaurant. Not pretentious, but very fine dining dine with class and proper execution. Bread is scratch made and delicious. I love the range of menu items from sushi, to fois gras, to bolognese, they nail it. people say “I don’t loveseat to fill up on bread”.... I’m tellin ya, skip lunch and make room for bread? I chose 3 apps tonight. Spicy tuna roll was as good as any sushi restaurant, roasted beet salad was among the best I have had, and I have had over a dozen this year. The mussels with Pernod and fennel were on point and memorable. A unique combination that I have not seen before, and would return for if I were a local. I Ran out of room for dessert, and that bummed me out! LOL. Diana was my server. She had great food knowledge, was attentive, polite, professional and intuitive. Don’t miss this place.

Balloons is an Iconic post depression era restaurant that has been known as THE PLACE FOR STEAKS in Auburn for ever. We hand cut all of our steaks from USDA CHOICE beef or better all sourced from the midwest. We offer the best Wine list in Auburn at very reasonable prices. Don't judge the neighborhood please come in and ENJOY the best service and a great meal. Established 1934
Had heard terrific things about this spot-so decided to try it out. When you get there you are greated by large prison walls and an unimpressive restaurant-but what the heck-good for a try. Unfortunately we decided on a Friday night and i believe every Italian family in town was there. Even tho it was a cozy place -I think everybody was trying to speak louder than a rocket Launch at Cape Kennedy. We had to use written messages to talk to each other. The food was excellent-and the service because of the humungous crowd was reasonable-but next time will try for a less popular time since I've been told -this is the way it is.

The drive-in has an outdoor seating area with an incredible view of Owasco Lake. The view helps make up for the lackluster food. We had a Philly, a BBQ pork sandwich (which is not pulled pork, but instead warmed lunch meat-style slices with BBQ sauce), and a grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was the highlight. Entrée prices were definitely overpriced. Ice cream options were good (although we watched a high school kid who was sampling the flavors double-dip...skipped that flavor). I recommend eating elsewhere and stopping here only for dessert.

Brewpub in historic downtown Auburn, NY. Featuring house brewed beers, 20+ draft beers, and specialty brewhouse plates.
Because I live in Auburn I have been here many times. It is a local brewery with great food and always seems to be busy. They have a full bar and offer beers from other breweries..
For me the beer is a little subpar; not the best. I go to Prison City for the food. If I don't see any of their beers of interest I can have something else to drink . The menu and food is very good,
I have been here when it is hard to get served at the bar and when all the tables are full. I don't think they take reservations; I've never tired to make one.
They have booths, tables and stools at the bar. There are a couple high top tables near the bar that do not have seating. Parking is on the street. During the day you will have to feed a meter. In the evening most parking spots nearby are full. Parking is difficult.

I didn't expect to find a good Italian restaurant in Auburn, NY but I was very pleasantly surprised! The house salad dressing was delicious and the entrees were excellent! We had the shrimp scampi (special ordered without butter), chicken cacciatore, eggplant parmigiana and the chicken/eggplant special. Each was delicious. The desserts were also good. Be aware that the tables are small and the wait staff is very casual but I highly recommend you try this place! Mangia!

We had a group of 10 people on a Friday night and everyone was more than pleased with their meals. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Try their Pasta Carbonara made in the big cheese wheel for a delicious meal with a great presentation. The Italian music was a real bonus and made for a very special night out with family and friends,
