"Just a few paw prints west of the St. John's River" Our goal is that our friends, neighbors, and those just passing through feel the warmth of our hospitality with our exceptional food, service and atmosphere.
For a reasonable price, we got a lot of food and it tasted good too! Most restaurants in the area are bars with bar food. This is a genuine restaurant. Dining area isn't huge, but the booths are family-sized. The menu has a lot of options including plenty of vegetarian options. I'll be back!

Had put off going , because of some of the reviews. Boy , that was a mistake.
First , the waitress was very polite and professional . The food was
well made and presented. Nothing fancy and not much of a view .
However, Astor is a very scenic town.
The prices were very good ad the servings were generous.
You need to go But, they are closed on Tuesday. And yes, it is cash
only . Oh, we even saw a Black Bear on the way.

Service was good. More of a bar room with food. Fancier dining downstairs. Food was OK. Served hot. Drinks were refilled without asking. Do not order a side of fries with your sandwich. I was served a meager amount and charged and extra $2.00. Other than that if you come in by boat or car and are just a bit hungry give it a try.

We enjoyed lunch with our friends. We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink and appetizer order immediately. We fried mozzarella. They were delicious. My husband ordered the fried clam plate and I order blackened grouper. Our friend ordered the fish and chips. The waitress told them the fish was chunked. The food was done with perfection. We will definitely return.

Cool little restaurant in a "Fishing Camp" about a mile or so off the highway, on the river. Not really riverfront, as there are some cabins blocking the view, But its there. Very friendly staff, excellent food at very reasonable prices. "Diner" type. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends. "Old Florida". Excellent MC destination! Try it!

Jack Frost is a small ice cream and sandwich shop located on Highway 4o on Astor Park. I can't remember their exact hours, but I think they open at 11am Wednesday through Sunday. I LOVE their Maple Walnut Sundaes! Everything my family gets is very good. I have never tried their sandwiches (cant seem to resist the ice cream) but they look delicious.

Greeted warmly upon entrance. Sandwich makers followed protocol with gloves. Shop offers mini-pizzas. Some Subways do not. Nice visit.

This was a little taco truck but has moved to Paisley on the corner of 19 & 42. I stop every chance I get for their great nachos and tostadas. They now have a restaurant with indoor seating and still serve their great food. It is not like any ordinary Mexican food I have ever eaten. It is fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. My husband will pick up fajitas for lunch. We will share one order and still have some left over. It is worth the drive!
