My wife and I opened on May 11th 2015! We thourougly enjoy what we do and try to provide the best food with the best ingredients available using many family recipes and putting our own little spin on it. The old fashioned soda fountain, homemade soups and sandwiches, delicious pizzas, and amazing shakes make it a stop you won't forget. Plus who else gets a former Miss America contestant serving them their meal 90% of the time. Yes, my wife is a former Miss Idaho 2006. So come in and have a lunch, dinner, snack, or desert with us and we will do our best to win you over!
Went through Mesa Falls and spent the day viewing all the sights. Came out in Ashton and stopped at the pizzeria. Best choice! First of all they had chocolate malts which thrilled my husband, then they make them correctly with vanilla ice cream and chocolate...MoreThank you so much for the review! We appreciate the review on our food and cleanliness. We can't wait to serve you again soon we hope. ;)

We are proud to serve and sell the best coffee in Ashton featuring locally-roasted Steve & Harry's coffee and espresso. Ask about our great Chai tea lattes, Italian sodas, or choose from our selection of bagged herbal and black teas. (Our original drinks are so worth the stop, but don't tell anybody!) Get any of them hot or iced. Our baked goods range from pie to muffins to zucchini bread to brownies depending on the whims of our bakers.* These treats are the perfect addition to your yummy drink. You will find a friendly, cozy atmosphere in this renovated, century-old building originally built as the Royal Hotel. We are glad to have you bring your meal in to enjoy with our specialty beverages and fun treats! See you soon! *(Selection varies from day to day and week to week.)
Sometimes a stop in a small town can be rewarding. Dropped in for a piece of pie and a coffee. Pecan pie was top quality and coffee well down. Had a great chat with locals. If you coming from Yellowstone west exit heading south make sure you stop

Frostop Dive-In has been operating on Hwy 20 in Ashton, Idaho for over 40 years. Our food is excellent, our menu is extensive, and our prices are fair.

The Frostop was founded in 1965 by Leland Garner. He built an addition two years later. He sold it in 1973 to Jerald Crittenden from Ashton and two men from St.Anthony. They called it Mug Jugs. Then in 1974 Andre Bollaerts from Redondo Beach, California bought it and sold it to George Nedrow and associates, who ran the business until David and Ray Lalonde purchased it in 1975 and it became Frostop once again, with the Frostop franchise being retained. Three years later, in 1978, the W.D. Chatterton family from Pocatello bought Frostop from the Lalondes and retained ownership until 1994, when they sold it to Roger Weber. After 42 years of serving Ashton the Frostop has once again changed owners with Wayne and Hannah McCausey taking over from Roger in 2007. We have enjoyed owning the Frostop and raising our little family here in Ashton, Idaho. Wayne was born and raised here. Hannah was born and raised in Homedale and Wilder, Id. We both were raised in the country and our raising our family in the country just outside of Ashton. We have two kids Dalyn & Kyra, they are still in school here at North Fremont. Our Family has become stronger and plan to be here for a long, long time. We built our home in 2004 and bought the Frostop in 2007 and now we have dug our roots in deep. Thanks for your support and come back again soon!!
Great place, ordered a large fry and a coke freeze, and got the coke freeze right away. It was yummy! But...it took a long time yo get our fries. 30 minutes to be almost exact. But the gals there were very friendly which makes it worth the wait when the service is good. The only thing I didn't like to see sitting at the counter was simply sitting on the back counter with their feet up on the center island eating their food. There were a lot of us waiting for our food and I wondered if that is their only place to break it might be good to put a door or something there so that you are not seeing them because it does look like they are just sitting there. But based on the two things that we ordered we loved it! The fries were amazing I would possibly go back if I knew I had time to wait for it. If you do go there just know you will wait but the food is great!

Have eaten breakfast there a time or two and it is okay but not terrific. The prices are on the high side, coffee was not much good.

This place was listed as a great place to eat while in Rexberg. That is absolutely true, but I found the burger to be pretty dry. Ask for some extra condiments, because while you won't leave hungry, it's a little dry going down. The soda was huge and the basket of onion rings and the sweet potato fries where amazing. Just a little more moisture and it would have all been perfect.

Great breakfast, excellent large pancakes, hash browns cooked right , interesting and amusing taxidermy throughout log cabin looking rustic pplrestaurant
We found the usual suspects on the salad bar, but the iceberg lettuce was crisp and fresh. Grilled chicken dry and tasteless. Trout filet breaded and covered it's own plate; partner said he'd never had trout cooked like that and it tasted old. Maybe processed somewhere else and cooked there? Other than salad bar, no vegetables on menu unless you want an Idaho potato one of four ways. Service was adequate. Tea was good and fresh. Dining room was warm and stuffy on a hot day and needed a revamp; many dead animals on the walls.

This rates four stars for the overall location, and a feel of nostalgia for places like this that once were found all over America. Unfortunately in these times too many have been forced out. So, is this the neatest place in the world, well, no. Is it impeccable dining, well, no. We suppose the best way to describe it is rustic, as are the owners who most likely will be the people serving you. This is part of a family owned golf, RV, camping, cabin type facility. They have a full bar and in a log cabin type of main clubhouse facility. It's a burger, fires, wings from a limited menu served in a plastic basket with paper napkins. Friday nights they'll fire up a Karaoke machine upon request. THAT SAID, if you like a nice, neat orderly slick, super clean, place with all the new bells and whistles along with WiFi and sports bar, lively late night action place this might not be for you. You don't go here for fine dining, if you go it's for the overall experience in an escape and time warp back to a simpler place in our past. BTW they also have one large cabin for rent by the night, two small cabins and RV spots along with golf.
