Sunny Sky's is a popular ice cream parlor in the small town of Angier just south about 15 miles of Raleigh, NC. It has been featured several times on national television due to their unique "Cold Sweat" ice cream that is made with a mixture of hot sauces and peppers including habaneros. Their ice cream is home made in the parlor and is truly a diamond in the rough and really should be on the site.
I LOVE their ice cream. It is creamy and delicious. They have a wide variety of flavors and they have a couple of add-in's. On the other hand from about 7-9, this place is PACKED. The joint is very small and there is barely room to move. The wait is 20 minutes to get your ice cream.

When a couple of friends invited me to join them for lunch recently at this little off the beaten path barbecue joint, I didn't have a clue what to expect. But, wow, what a pleasant surprise! I'd never have expected to find a Texas style BBQ eatery in this tiny little town, much less one that was the Real Deal! The food was plentiful and mouth watering. The service was down home pleasant and efficient. And the prices are more than fair for what you get. Can't wait to go back and take my barbecue loving wife!

Traditional pastries and breads, absolutely fresh, huge selection.
We stopped for an afternoon snack on the way back from a hike at Raven Rock Park. Perfect location in the way back to Raleigh. We only wished they had fresh brewed teas to go with the pastries!

Since my last visit the food has to much spices for Americans. Maybe for asians no. The egg rolls were fantastic, the adobo to spicy, the fish to spicy, but the service great. The sanitation rating was 97.5 and restrooms very clean, and the store is fantastic.

We live not too far f/ this very quaint grill, so we've eaten here several times.
They have a large menu, and the burgers we've eaten here were delicious!
The wait staff is small, but BIG on friendliness and very helpful! The service is 'spot on!' We've eaten there at lunch, and we were surprised how quickly we were served even when they were almost full.
We had the steak/cheese subs and loved them! We will go back!
It was a really nice dinning experience!

A large group of use from a motorcycle blessing came to sunnisky ice cream. They have the best homemade ice cream of MANY flavors. They are always busy with friendly people. It is a little crazy ordering when busy but they manage through it. They have large field with tables and enough parking.

Food was boring, don't think fresh vegtables are used. Entrees include one side only, very limited choices, decor very dated and cluttered. Could be a great place with some update staging & simplification. Suggest offering a salad plus an entree for price or include drink. We ate here 3 different times and were disappointed each time. Waitress spent most of her time in gossip with another table on our Sunday visit which was very distracting and noisy. Overpriced

Since we are relatively new to this are, we thought we would stop by for supper. It looked like a good place to entertain out of town family and friends. Atmosphere was pleasant. Beautiful vineyards. We ordered the shrimp dinner. Wait staff was pleasant, but rushed. Our table was extremely close to a loud party of guests. We could have asked for another table, but as the guests next to ours were finishing their meal, we thought we could wait them out. They remained there through a bottle or two of wine and our entire meal.
Now the meal...the shrimp were small, wet, pale and limp. The cocktail sauce tasted like catsup. Not at all appetizing. The sides of a bake potato and brocoll were also lack luster. The coffee was okay, at least it was hot.
Not sure about the other reviewers here. They must know what days the real chef is in.we do plan on giving this restaurant another try. Will update then.

This is a brewry with home brewed beer and a steak and seafood restaurant. They have tastings for the beer and brandys they sell and made. The food is very good! Great place to go for seafood. It is a ways from the highway and city. Out in the country. The prices are a slight higher than most places, but it is well worth the money. Very elegantly decorated. Very friendly staff.
