Our son is planning to go to Alma College next year. We heard about Francesco's from the parent of another student that is currently attending Alma. We went there that day and have gone every time we go back to visit which has been about six times now. The food is fantastic. Chicken parmesan is my favorite. The bread is great. Salads are great. And the prices are very reasonable. We will continue to stop every time we go.

The last two times we ate there, the food was questionable. Ordered a steak and shrimp, the steak was okay but the shrimp was heavily breaded and the breading was soggy and tasteless. Also, the next time we ordered the fried chicken, and it was less than warm and cold and dry. No taste to it at all. One of us had the hot beef sandwich and he really liked it, it was warm and a big serving so that he had left over to take home. The servers were friendly, however, the one we had referred to me as "honey", or "hon" or "sweetie". I get offended at that greeting and prefer to be called "sir". That is just my thing.

Visiting from Colorado, we stopped early in the morning for a quick pick me up on our drive to Mackinac Island.
The service was fine, they filled my travel mug instead of making me use one of their own.
The price was outrageous though! We ordered two short hot apple ciders and it was almost ten dollars, nine something!
Yeah, you're not worth that much Bigby

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for beer tasting. No other alcohol options than beer, bummer for those who don't like beer. They have 4 beers of their own and several Mountain Town beers. The 4 Alma Brewing beers were quite good, so I'll probably go back at some point to try their new creations. They had a decent menu but we didn't eat.

Just passing through to get gas on the road to Petosky. Hubby said it was the BEST burger ever! The "meat to bun ratio" was perfect! Hahaha
I had the pulled pork nachos, which were amazing. I wasn't expecting BBQ pulled pork but it was so good!
Very "CHEERS" like setting.
Most adorable waitress award, too!

Friendly service. Always smiling and chatty. A nice selection of on the go snacks and always the best drinks. Clean and comfortable.

My husband and I had planned on eating here the night Alma had their Downtown Christmas celebration, but it was super busy so we decided to try it another day. We really enjoyed the square pan-pizza (love the crunchy crust!). We ate our pizza in the restaurant and my only complaint was the larger dining room was closed, probably because the restaurant wasn't busy at that time of day. So we had to sit in the smaller room, and every time the door opened a blast of cold air came inside. It would have been much more comfortable eating in the larger room.

Carry out or dine in pizza, grinders, salads, soups and a whole lot more. Catering available to businesses. Bread mixed from scratch and baked daily.
After a long and hot day at the Scottish Games, we found Mancino's. It was clean and AC cool. The pizza is made to order so it took maybe 20 minutes. According to my parents, the regular pizza was delicious. The gluten free pizza was good too -- hard crust, tasty, and good toppings. We ordered hot wings to go and they delivered it to the table for us. We would return.

Stroh's and Moonies ice cream scooped in cones or cups. Little diner that has charm and a small town feel. Did not eat but it looks like a typical diner.
