Allentown, is the largest of the three Pennsylvania cities that make up the Lehigh Valley. Formerly an industrial hub, Allentown is probably most well known as the subject of the eponymous Billy Joel song. The long history of Allentown has left it with an impressive architectural heritage that includes buildings such as the neo-Roman Art Museum, which contains a reconstructed room designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The city is also home to the Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom amusement park.

What an interesting restaurant down a side street that you just wouldn’t expect to be there. Nothing fancy when you arrive, sort of dark and small, always busy. All food is cooked in the front, which is excellent. Wait staff very attentive, they know the menu well, and can answer many questions. Food is excellent .

I have been wanting to visit Bolete for a few years. My wife is not a fan of French food, so never top of the list on date night. Finally convinced to her to come along. We arrived just a few minutes early, and decided to wait on a better table. The place is very quaint, and full of character. Not very big, but tables are spaced such they don’t feel cramped. Started with drinks in the bar. They were good, although could have been colder. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and were more than accommodating for my wife’s selective taste. I started with Foie Gras, which was not listed, but Chef still had a piece available. My wife started with chips from the bar. Both were very good. The Foie gras was gilled, and served with a bed of greens and polenta, the combination was excellent. My wife chips were also very good. For main course, my wife ordered ribeye steak and I ordered wild bass. The bass was exceptional, and served over a bed of squash, mushrooms and bacon. The flavor of the sauce was amazing. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly, and server with mashed potatoes. The steak was good, not great. For a ribeye, did not have as much taste, and was a little tough. The potatoes were very good. The biggest disappointment was the wine. The wine list is very limited, and the nicer bottle we ordered was just average. I did find out later can bring your own, although with a $25 corking fee. That seems a little high. For dessert, had the chocolate mousse tart and two coffees. The dessert was very good, although the coffee was a little weak. I also ask myself, would I recommend and would I go back. The answer is yes to both. The rating of 4 vs 5, is that it was not the perfect meal for the reasons I list above, but that doesn’t take away from the fine food being served.

We have been here many times and it's always good! All of the sandwiches are made with Boars head meats and the burgers are very good too. Some of our favorites for lunch are the pot roast sandwich and the tuna salad. Try the red...MoreHi Kathy, Thank you for your excellent review and recommendations. We love hearing about our customers favorites!

At Cali Burrito we aim to provide the healthiest, best tasting food possible in a minimum amount of time. Founders Shawn and Nick wanted to bring the Cali vibe to the Lehigh Valley after living in California for 10 years. The idea for the restaurant was born out of numerous surf trips up and down the California coast. So sit back, enjoy a burrito and feel that mellow Cali vibe. Our food is fresh, our flavor bold. Just let us know if you want some heat! We use locally made organic tofu from Fresh Tofu, Inc., environmentally friendly sugar cane plates and 'plasticware', 0 gm. transfat vegetable frying oil, local organic produce in season and organic coffee. We don't use lard or MSG. Feel Free to B.Y.O.B
Not sure how it got ranked so high on TripAdvisor?? Saw the high rating, so thought about seeing what the hype was about this place. It is like a Chipole or other fast food Mexican place. You wait in line to order, then you either sit down at a table or wait at a bench for your order to go. They call your number and bring you the food. They have a new location and it is nice, but nothing great. Have to walk in the mud to get to the sidewalk from the parking lot in back. My wife did not like their tortilla chips - some were thick and greasy and others were normal. They have 4 different salsas and other sauces to give a kick to the food. There are vegan choices as well. I would visit again IF I was in the area, but not go out of my way to visit the place.

This restaurant is consistently high quality. We have been going here for years— mostly for date nights or special occasions. Our most recent visits were a Saturday brunch in October and a full dinner visit in February. I think Carrie was our server both times. For brunch, I had soup and a shrimp small plate... both were excellent. For dinner, I had my go-to appetizer, which is the lobster ravioli in a sweet and spicy sauce (there is nothing like it), and the duck entree. Everything was good about the entree: the meat, the green beans and the mushroom risotto. Desserts were delicious! I’m looking forward to our next visit.

I have gone here to celebrate my son and father in law's birthdays for the last two years. Everybody loves their meal. The bang bang shrimp are a favorite. We ordered two of them as appetizers and they were gone. The entrees were cooked perfectly. I had Norwegian salmon last time and it was cooked perfectly. The service is above average. I would strongly recommend a reservation, as this place really gets busy due to the location at the mall and the above average food.

While in town for an appointment, we were looking for a good burger and Wert’s popped up in a Google search. Since it was the closest, we stopped. Wow!! First of all the staff was amazing. This was obviously a local place and there were plenty of people in who were regulars. The staff knew them by name, knew their likes and dislikes, and it was wonderful to see the close interaction. We ordered two burger specials. I had the Wert’s cheese burger medium and my daughter had a Ranchero burger. Both came with a side of the amazing frizzled fried onions and a pile of sliced pickles. The burgers were HUGE! The cheeseburger was stuffed with mushrooms and fried onions and smothered in cheese. It was so juicy I needed a napkin with the first bite. The opinions were super thin and piled high. So crispy!!! The pickles were huge slices and fresh not rubbery spears. My daughter had a glass of white birch beer which was a flashback to my childhood. If you’ve never had it you have to try it. Our special came with two slices of chocolate cake. We ordered one with vanilla frosting and one with peanut butter. We were so stuffed from dinner that there was no way we
could have eaten the cake. The staff was nice enough to pack it to go. I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for home style food at great prices. The burgers are legendary. We will be back!

Grille 3501 literally stands alone with its "sophisticated yet unpretentious" atmosphere and menu. Our unique blend of Asian, French and Mediterranean cuisine, combined with our warm hospitality and attentive service will make your every visit to Grille 3501 an event to remember. The Loft at 3501, a new addition to the Valley's favorite restaurant, provides guests with a unique dining experience in the West End by offering patio and open-air dining along with the same great award-winning menu favorites. Owners John Trapani and Chef John Pukanecz invite you to join them for your next truly remarkable meal or private party.
I had my office holiday party there. The menus has a diversity of fine food choices. My employees loved the experience and want to return next year. The service was wonderful the waitress was very helpful for choices to order and the courses were served promptly. The restaurant is very cozy and clean and the help is very attentive. The restaurant is a little noisy though but tolerable. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant and especially order the beef fillet.

stopped in for lunch after visiting art museum hoping to impress an out of town friend with new Allentown restaurant . Neither of us was impressed.
Service only ok- food pretty good but food serving sort of strange. Ordered brisket with potato pancake - potato pancake was maybe 1/8th of an inch &very small while brisket was maybe enough for 2 people. Asked for bread - served portion in a teacup (it was good) & was charged extra. Basic response is I'm not planning to go again
