I discovered this place on the recommendation of a friend, who I treated to lunch here. The food was fresh and really, really good. Best tartar sauce I have EVER had! Went back again within 30 days with my spouse and we had another great meal. They have fresh seafood to go, also. Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves good seafood! You get your main fish along with coleslaw and fries.

What a delightful experience here. The sales girl who helped me was so cheerful and helpful. They have some amazing different varieties of hand dipped/handmade chocolates. There's also an entire case for diabetics where they don't use sugar and they haven't replaced it with any other additives. Plenty of restroom facilities - 8 in fact, as they often apparently get visitors through tour buses. Well worth the stop.

This always-crowded restaurant is one of the few places in the area with good food and reasonable prices. Excellent chips/salsa, diverse menu, and attentive service. The Carne Asada was outstanding, but we'd prefer our chili rellenos made with Anaheim chilies instead of Poblanos. Still, very good food and the frosted mug for your beer is a nice touch!

A popular Drive-In serving locals and tourists for 49 years!
I love the old fashion 1950’s type diner with outdoor car service – as a kid we’d go to the drive-in and spend the afternoon eating, talking to the waitresses on roller-skates, and havin’ fun showing off my Chevy. Well, this is a real old fashioned 50’s drive-in restaurant with the double-rows of parked cars facing each other---with some picnic tables under carport-type building, with big menu-boards hanging down. The staff, mostly young girls, wear red T-shirts and black pants, and the bevy of car-hops bring the food to you in your car…food is served via a muted red tray, burgers served in plastic containers, malts in paper cups, and fries wrapped in wax paper and -- Good crispy French fries, - I had their specialty, a raspberry milkshake served with a sugar wafer, which was extremely thick and I needed a spoon instead of a straw – Menu includes varieties of burgers, chicken, hot dogs – standard fare…and if you don’t want to eat in your car, there is a small indoor dining area for 12 to 15 people inside on formica- style tables and benches. This is apparently a local’s favorite which has been around a long time with a number of owners who have kept the style of dining. Good food, nice staff, fun place, loved the music.

We asked at our motel (Gardner's Country Village) for a good local place to have breakfast. Both clerks, at the same time, said, “Hegg's”, so off we went.
Breakfast was good, properly cooked and came fast. Coffee was great, we had good service, the place was clean, prices were reasonable and it was local. What more can you ask for on the road?
Nothing spectacular here, just good food.
Recommended, for breakfast especially

I stopped to have lunch on a Tuesday and ordered a combination pizza. I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed their pizza for I had experienced less than mediocre quality pizza in the area. The place wasn't crowded that day at that time, the toppings and sauce on the pizza were good and I had no complaints with the service.
Because this was a hot summer day, dining inside the restaurant was almost uncomfortable because of the heat.
I do plan to return and try a specialty pizza they serve that comes with sauerkraut.

The food here was tasty but we had several people in our party not feel well after. Not sure if the two were related. The Sesame Shrimp is amazing.

Hegg restaurant in Afton Wyoming is a great place to spend Friday evening. They have an all-can-eat fish and chips that is outstanding. A group of us get together and go about once or twice a month. The Prime rib on weekends is also outstanding and they have a great salad bar as well.

My family of five walked into this restaurant based on the previous reviews and walked right out because it smelled like a dirty ashtray. They said it was because there was a bar next-door. Never got to experience the food or the service. If you are sensitive to smoke, avoid this place.

We stopped here for breakfast. Seated quickly, attentive server.
I ordered pancakes and hashbrowns, both were excellent. Be forewarned, the pancakes are huge.
Two people in our party ordered egg dishes, both were very undercooked and mostly inedible.
We all agreed that these were the best hashbrowns of our trip.
