Afton is a town in southwest Ottawa County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,049 as of the 2010 census, with population growth stemming from the near abandonment of nearby towns of Cardin and Picher because of ground contamination sites by local mining quarries. The town may have been named for the Scottish River Afton.

Outrageous. This bakery puts out outrageous pastries, pies, cakes, cookies and other assorted home made munchies. Definitely not on the Adkins/Weight Watchers preferred list. Indulge here - better do a couple extra days at the gym the next week. This place also solves our Christmas gifting chores, replacing Dean & Deluca, Williams-Sonoma, Neiman Marcus & Artisanal Cheese ... A box of Cakes A Risen Christmas cookies/pastries simply blows-away the offerings of those other "high-end"-places and is a real favorite of those on the receiving end. However, most-of-all, you go here to indulge in a sinfully decadent treat for yourself. It's simply that good. Period.

Clanton's has been a family tradition in Vinita Oklahoma since 1927. Generations of Clanton's have prepared meals for their neighbors. It is the oldest continually owned family restaurant on Route 66 in the state of Oklahoma. The Clanton's family have been deeply involved in the community of Vinita and have given countless hours and dollars to support various school, community and charitable organizations.
We tried their chicken fried steak dinners and were very pleased. My husband is pretty picky with chicken fried steak and this one suited him! It was very tender with very little stringy stuff in it. The mashed potatoes were real, not instant. Of course the white gravy topped it all off.

While passing through Fairland, Oklahoma don't forget to stop at the Dairy Shack for a delicious old fashioned milk shake. They're made right in front of you with real milk and a real bargain. They also have excellent prices on their ice cream cones. I didn't try the food so you'll have to get someone else's opinion on that.

Monkey Island is the name of the peninsula at Grand Lake, Oklahoma
The place was clean and the food was excellent. The food is traditional Tex-Mex. The staff was friendly and they had a nice bar. We have eaten there twice. It is very convenient to everything on Monkey Island.

A fun, funky establishment featuring breakfast, lunch and treats. Fresh, homemade, unique foods to meet your foodie yearnings in an eclectic atmosphere!
Read the reviews and we decided to stop in. We were not disappointed. Good local restaurant. I had the broccoli and ham quiche and hubby had the NY roast beef sandwich. Both were very good. Desserts looked good, but no room. Definitely worth a try.

My wife and I have eaten here several times, and the food, especially the hamburgers are very good......but, the place is always dirty. The floors are dirty, the tables are dirty and the restrooms are just plain horrible! Maybe a person should only go through the drive-thru. Definitely not my favorite place to eat in Vinita, Oklahoma!

All the fun you can stomach! The Shebang is a fine dining and drinking establishment with a varied menu sure to satisfy the most sophisticated palate. Our fun and inviting atmosphere includes five unique dining rooms and a standing-room-only bar. Whether you are craving our signature prime rib, seafood, pasta, or the best pizza on Grand Lake, the shebang will send you home satisfied.
I don't really know how to describe this place. They think of themselves as a "speakeasy". Lots of rooms that ranged in different sizes. The decor was something I might expect in Eureka Springs, AR or your great grandmothers house. The location was just a few miles from our hotel and open on Sunday night (they are closed M-W during the offseason). The busboy/entertainer Randy showed us to the lounge area where he was playing. Just one other couple in there. Not sure I really wanted entertainment while eating. Randy is entertaining and obvious loves what he does -- it is just different and will leave it at that (husband ordered a glass of wine to get through the entertainment if that gives you a clue). Split a Caesar salad which was good. We ordered the pizza which is suppose to have a special crust. Couldn't tell cause it was so layered with cheese. Haven't seen that much cheese on a pizza since who knows when. Almost inedible especially for my husband who can't digest much lactose. It was too much even for me. We should have asked for light hand on the cheese. We took half it back to the hotel and ended up throwing it out. It was a evening we will always remember but not really in a favorable sense.

Went in for dinner on Friday night. Hubs had rib eye. He said it wasn't bad but it wasn't that good. I had liver and onions. Not very many onions and it was very dry. The salad bar was ok. The service is just really slow. The café was crowded but they have removed booths and replaced them with tables which seems to look like less seating. Will we go back? Probably but again, there's no hurry.

We ate here for a late lunch, early supper. The food was great and so was the service. We brought the grandkids. Wish I would have read the reviews first about being an adult establishment. Yikes!!
