After touring all over the area for most of the day, my family was looking for a nice place to unwind. Rainbow Shack fit the bill. They had a ton of flavors and varieties to choose from. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Voted Best of The Berkshire's four years running, the Haflinger Haus is a restaurant, tavern and inn located in Adams, MA in the beautiful Northern Berkshires. From Wiener Schnitzel and Kasespatzle to Grilled Salmon and NY Strip Steaks, we are bringing the best of Austrian and American cuisines to the Berkshires. Our menu features some of Austria's most delicious foods, like authentic Wiener Schnitzel, Gram's authentic Hungarian Goulash, and Spatzle (little delicious noodles) along with Classic American and Continental dishes. Our Tavern features its own menu as well as great beers on tap, bottled beer, and great Martinis, specialty drinks and cocktails. The Inn features 6 unique and tastefully appointed rooms. Five have private bath.
We went on a Monday night and found the place to be practically empty. However, the food and service was excellent! The goulash and schnitzel in particular were both excellent. I love German/Austrian food and have eaten in Austria a number of times and found this place to be close to the real thing (if not the real thing). I only wish we lived closer, which would make me a regular (as well as a bit poorer). Our dinner with dessert (without alcohol) came to over $75 got two - well worth it for special occasions.
For dessert, try the Black Forest Cake or the strudel (both excellent and we did both). Definitely try this place if you have like hearty meals.

Too much noise from the workers and sometimes language is not appropriate. Coffee is fresh as well as the food items.. Workers tend to yell and just be obnoxious.

A pleasant enough place...walk up to the counter and place your order. The order taker said it would take 30 minutes to get the food out. It didn't seem especially busy, so I asked her why. She shrugged, and said matter-of-factly, "It's always like this."
When we finally got our food, it was quite tasty. Veggie omelet abounding in fresh veggies; cheese omelet filled with tasty white American cheese.
Good food, bottomless coffee cup, fair price. If you have the time, a good place to go.

I've lost track of how many other Chinese restaurants have tried to make it in Adams but just couldn't compete with Chee's. They are the best Chinese restaurant we've ever been to. There menu is full of excellent choices and the prices are fair.

Pedrin's is a family owned and operated fast-food dairy bar located on Curran Highway in the beautiful Berkshires. Since 1963 when the Deeb family came into full ownership of the property patrons have come back season after season for Pedrin's friendly service and tasty meals. Pedrin's still boasts original fan favorites like the Fish Fry, a delicious piece of the finest North Atlantic Haddock delicately fried and served a roll, and the Homemade Onion Rings, deep fried to crispy perfection. Also Pedrin's serves icecream, both scooped and soft serve with all sorts of delicious toppings to choose from.
If you like it fried then Perrin's is the place to go. A North Adams tradition Pedrin's has been here for decades. A little pricey but who can say no to the best oinion rings in Berkshire County. Plenty of picnic tables to sit at there is no inside seating. From the Wing Ding Dinner to the Whole Belly Clams to the incredible Fish Fry.. it's all good. If you like milk shakes order one of their frosts. Over the top out of this world. If you're in the neighborhood stop by this North County summer icon. You won't be disappointed.

Simply the BEST cheese steak I've ever had. The staff was helpful with choices - and there were several. Very small more of a place to grab and go. But you are adjacent to the bike path and there are outdoor picnic tables there.. they cater and will deliver ...

Pizza House appears on several "recommended" lists for Adam, Mass. I'd say that's a good call. When I'm near Adams, twice a year, I make a point to go to Pizza House as often as possible.
This is a well run New England style Greek sub shop with a large menu.
They toast the sub rolls!!...like the Universe intended. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
I had the Pastrami sub, once the small size and once the large size. Surprise, the large size is two small size subs on the plate but for only a little more money. Excellent Pastrami, no gristle or fat, very flavorful.
Lots of local traffic and families eating here.
The guys behind the counter give the impression that they are experienced, professional, competent, and skilled at what they do. Seems like a family run place with people who care about what they do.

Angelina's has been a staple in Adams for years and years. I also have been getting subs there for years and years. I have never been disappointed in any of their subs and grinders. If you're in Adams, you have to stop and got one, you'll love it...

On Thursday night there is an all you can eat barbecue buffet. There are always a number of cars as this is a venue that features banquets and large gatherings. The main dining room if a good candidate for an extreme Gordon Ramsey visit and makeover. The decor is old and shabby to go with so so food.
