We’ve been to Ironwoods several times for different meals, brunch, lunch, and dinner and all have been a hit. The patio is a beautiful place to sit in the spring and fall, and the restaurant’s garden is a nice place to walk through after your meal, or to keep a toddler busy while waiting on your meal.

Breakfast served Tuesday-Saturday 8am-10:30am Lunch served Tuesday-Sunday 11am-2:30pm
Pros: I recommend for locals and travelers with unique, delicious made to order restaurant food. Beautiful and tasty bakery items! Free close parking, great staff and big selection of homemade breads daily! Prices match their products, great quality and they can make anything you can dream up. My favorites is their Stollen Christmas bread! Everything I have gotten there has been delicious. I have ordered special cakes, breads, and breakfast as well as lunch. They are closed Sunday and Mondays. They accept cash and card. Clean bathroom for customers. Vegetarian choices. Handicap accessible. After Thanksgiving till Christmas is my favorite time to visit because the gingerbread houses on display and the Christmas Stollen bread.
Con: So delicious you may consume excessive calories, lol! Restaurant eating section is very small but they turn over the crowds quickly! Might not be a great choice for picky kids to eat the breakfast or lunch.
Hope I answered all your questions! Stop in you want be sad!

Conveniently located in the heart of dowtown Southern Pines the newly renovated location spotlights quality and creativity with every detail. Warm colors, combined with hand crafted wood work and unique decor create a very comfortable, casual atmosphere to enjoy. Proprietor, Chef Pete Hamm delivers quality ingredients and flavors throughout a menu constructed of signature items, such as the delicious "lobsta fries", the ridicuously tasty Reubenesque sandwich and the very popular fish taco nachos. Open seven days a week for busy lifestyles to visit often.
I came in for lunch with family. We were seated immediately and our drinks were served right away. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I ordered the surf and turf burger. It was simply amazing. Probably the best burger I have had in years....MoreThank you very much for sharing your positive experience- we appreciate you taking the time!! We hope you visit us again soon! Thank you again!

Step back in time in Pinehurst's most expansive dining room, offering breakfast and dinner daily. Executive Chef Thierry Debailleul's amazing menu features hand-selected aged beef and signature dry seasoning rub for our steaks and chops. Menus change seasonally, invoking the fresh flavors of the area and our local farmers' picks. The legendary breakfast buffet is known as the best in golf, and with good reason. Piano music sets the tone as you feast on made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit and Southern favorites.
The resort is a great getaway and the dining room will not disappoint. It's got the white table cloth feel with the Pinehurst pinazz. The guest dinners range from families to couples and the golfer groups- very diverse. All are welcome. We had a very tasty seasonal salad followed by the New York sirloin with creamy mash potatoes and sautéed Brussels sprouts. We ordered a side of the duck fat potatoes but they didn't turn out as good as hoped. The Brussels were the best ever eaten and the salad was outstanding as was the steak. Overall, it's a must visit when at the inn. The serving portions are very generous and good for sharing.

And I always stay with the same decision - sweet crepes. I love that the lines continue since the expansion. Everyone knows how great this place is. You can eat breakfast, lunch and now even dinner select nights. If you are visiting the area, this is a must stop. If you live here and haven’t been, plan for it tomorrow!

As title suggests - nothing fancy but great fish. Tuna steak was huge. Scallop plate huge. Snapper was tasty (I should have gotten it blackened). While flounder fresh. Hush puppies were sweet and addictive. Great service.
Guessing kitchen is small as it takes a while to eat food - so if place is full, be prepared to wait a while.
Live music on Saturday evenings - I’m told it gets extremely loud.

You have to get here early in the morning, if you don't you will lose out on some of the best! They only cook so many each day and when they are gone they close. Dunkin Doughnuts put in a store across the street, but didn't phase Granny's in the morning. You can go in and have your doughnut and coffee or use the drive-through. Just great Doughnuts. Or the kids they have smiley faces or Tar Heels, it is NC after all!

My wife and I spent a day in Southern Pines and we asked a handful of local shop owners their suggestion on a favorite place to have lunch. When everyone's first choice was Sweet Basil, we followed their lead and we're not disappointed. We stopped in at 2:00 on fall Saturday and it was packed. My wife had the quesadilla and I chose the lunch special of chipotle chicken sandwich with fries. The food was delicious and the staff was great.

Legendary Food, Legendary Service
Went to Texas Roadhouse for Sunday Lunch. Seated fast, nice host and waiter. Ordered the 32oz sirloin. Excellent choice. Ate half and boxed the rest for home. My wife ordered an American Cheese Burger with only cheese. The first bite show had a hard plastic piece in her burger. Waiter took it back, manager came over with a new one. She liked to 2nd burger but took small care bites and finished the burger and fries. We were given $5 Off for the inconvenience. We may go back but next time be more causous of the meal when we get it.
