I came across the pub by just wandering in one evening. I was just out for a walk when I thought to myself a wee drink wouldn't do any harm. The staff and people that work and drink there are very friendly and great fun. Never a dull moment.

Stopped in for a beer and appetizers. The fried cheese curds were inedible. The wings were fine. We only go to this site when desperate. We would rather drive to the site in Libertyville because the food is so much better and more consistent.Thank you for the review, CJGurnee. We appreciate your feedback, as it allows us to constantly grow and improve. Please know that if anytime your expectations are not met when you are visiting us, please let us know and we will make it right. We hope to serve you again soon. Thanks.

If you like thick crusted pizza and high end ingredients, Kaiser is a must. Folks told us their thin crust was super too.We started off with a credible Caesar Salad that was enough for two.Their sandwiches and wraps looked yummy too.Nicole B was our ambassador to wonderful service. A shout out to Ed for stopping by to checkEnjoy!
The outdoor seating is great during the summer. The menu can be better...but customers who come here usually come for the drinks.

The food was good, the Caribbean jerk chicken was very good. The cheese fries appetizer was a little under cooked, probably needed another 90 seconds in the fryer. The onion rings, mushrooms and peppers were good though. The sports memorabilia on the walls made it worth the trip.
We visited this pizza place for the first time this evening, and I have to say they are likely my go-to pizza place, but if things don't improve inside it will be only to go. The pizza was a nice well bodied thin crust. The sauce was some of the best around, and they put enough on it to satisfy me. Fresh vegetables on the pie (not canned or frozen) really completed a great pizza. The problems came with the sit down experience. The waitress did not seem to know what she had to offer from behind the bar. After a few false starts on ordering a drink I opted for water. The pizza was delivered, and no silverware was available, even when asked for. The middle pieces of a square cut pizza are pretty messy, a fork is not a lot to ask. When it came time to refill the water glasses the waitress took them. Always the best idea is to bring a new glass, or a pitcher to the table. Never take the glass from a guest. A small thing, but it matters. In future I'd like to stay and enjoy a drink and the great pizza. No matter what, you've captured my pizza business - now time to fix a few things and get that most profitable drink business.

We stopped by on our way to Chicago. We assumed, from the location, name and outdoor decor that we were in for some seafood with a local touch. The portions were generous. The service was excellent! The food was good, but nothing over the top. Our table had the burrito, catfish dinner and gyro special. The gyro meat was very flavorful. The catfish, while ok, did not seem like US raised catfish.

I LOVE the view and the "Vibe" of this restaurant but the FOOD AND SERVICE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. I dined on a Friday evening for their Seafood Buffet. All meals start with "Homemade" Potato Chips and In-House made French Onion Dip. I like the presentation of the wire vertical wire swirl (cone) with natural parchment paper. The chips were stale. A real let down because it was hot and humid outside and the chips were left out somewhere and got soggy. At the Seafood Buffet ($12.95) there was only ONE piece of Fried fish in the chafing dish. I was told more fish would be coming. Again this one piece of fish was in the chafing tray and got soggy on the coating. "Fried" Fish on the chafing dish cannot set very long or the coating gets "steamed" and soggy. I had asked my server what kind of vegetable was at the Buffet and she told me there was "green Beans" and " potatoes". My server COULD HAVE "SOLD" that Buffet to people by saying "Farm Fresh Green Beans" AND "Oven Roasted Potatoes". Those VEGETABLES WERE THE "BOMB" of the Buffet. The Beans were SO.......FRESH AND FLAVORFUL AND THE potatoes were Oven-Baked small quartered with skins let on and roasted in butter(crispy edge golden and yummy). The Beans and potatoes were the "HIGHLIGHT" and the most delicious part of the Buffet. There were flies in the dining area. I seen a sign that said this property will be a Best Western Property. I have ate at Best Western Restaurant for years.... and LOVE their food. I hope that The Lakeside Restaurant Chefs get Best Western Training. I really like dining here BUT the Service AND Food NEED TO IMPROVE. My waitress brought my bill to me right after I had ONLY BEEN UP TO The Buffet once. I will return here for the atmosphere but I hope the Service and Food will improve.
I met a friend for lunch here on Sunday. No problem getting a table. I had Italian beef sandwich & fries which was good. I heard their hamburgers are good. Waitress was on top of things & nice.
