Zaventem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzaːvəntɛm]) is a Belgian municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located in the Dijleland area, one of the three large recreational areas which together form the Groene Gordel ("Green Belt") around the Brussels-Capital Region. The municipality comprises the subdivisions or deelgemeenten of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On 1 January 2006 Zaventem had a total population of 28,651. The total area is 27.62 square kilometres (10.66 square miles), which gives a population density of 1,037 inhabitants per km². The official language is Dutch as it is within the Flemish Region. Zaventem is the home of Brussels Airport, together with neighbouring town of Diegem.

Started with mixed tapa's. Nice presentation and more than enough for 3 people. Followed by Cote à Los. Perfectly grilled with tastefull fresh made bearnaise. Finished with a well prepared Amaretto Sabayon with red fruit. Enjoyed it.Tip: they have a very complete Gin selection.

I have been visiting this establishment for years. I have always been greeted by the owner and staff by name and friendly chat. There is a wide selection of Belgium drinks. The place is clean and bathrooms cleaned regularly. One can't ask for a better place to sit and enjoy the time there either working (WiFi available) or being with friends. I highly recommend a visit!

Bistrot Sud is the place we go for special occasions: birthdays, anniversaries... Valentine's.The bistrot has moved, and has now resurfaced as a pop-up (check the first restaurant here http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g188669-d3708019-Reviews-Bistrot_Sud-Leuven_Flemish_Brabant_Province.html) - the food has staid delicious .From our inside sources (well, ok, a little chat with the owner), we have learned Bistrot Sud will be moving to an island in the Meditterrenean sometime next winter, so this summer is the last time to enjoy the food, the chats, the music, the slow tasting, the delicious wines.A little taste of France in the middle of Belgium. Warmy recommended.

I have been here several times in several years. Good quality food, friendly people. It is a bit off the beaten path, so maybe that explains the surprisingly few reviews. Really, this is a nice place - both for a business dinner or a couples dinner.
