The Boycott Arms is a venue that has the benefit of support from Marstons whilst still being independently operated to provide a bespoke menu and service. A traditional 300 year old Inn with oodles of history and character. Rural location but close enough
Having read lots of great reviews we went with high expectations but our overall experience wasnât great. The building certainly has character and is interesting, the service was friendly and welcoming and prices are very reasonable. The beer selection was disappointing and there is no wine list, just a choice of 2 red wines. Our table was in the middle of a fairly empty dining room which felt exposed and not relaxing. The pink rosy plastic table mats and the carvery clutter at the back of the room were off putting. The Stilton and mushroom starter was a strange concoction of mushrooms in a gelatinous brown sauce on soggy burned toast and a side salad. Our mains were ok pub grub. This place is alright if you just want a quick, inexpensive and filling meal.Thank you for your review ..The beer selection we find to fit well with our surroundings 3 lagers 2 ciders Guinness and Banks Mild and Bitter alongside Enville on cask ..The wine list is on the wall along with the price list for all wet products .. We have tried many red wines over our 2 years here and these sell really well as we do not like to keep open bottles of wine standing so therefore we keep to the two best sellers .. Merlot and a Shiraz ..The Carvery Accessories are kept in the snug area which is unused except for Sundays.. the Boycott has very little storage space so therefore they are there ready for reuse on Sundays .. Our Stilton mushrooms are one of our best sellers for starters and unfortunately you did not enjoy yours.. but they are home made and enjoyed by many ..We provide great homemade pub grub at a reasonable price and thatâs exactly what we are ... a 302 year old pub serving great homemade food ..We do hope you return and maybe try another of the starters which may be better suited to you ..Many thanks again for the review ..RegardsLeean

At The Woodberry Inn we work with local farmers and artisan producers to create our farm to fork menu. Our meat is supplied by local butcher Keith Alderson, who is renowned for rearing top quality Hereford Cross and Aberdeen Angus beef on his own Bridgnor
Stayed here with 5 friends and on the strength of the visit booked immediately for a further stay. Hidden away in a housing estate this is not a pub that would attract passing trade however it gets busy and thats great to see, Rooms are very nice... we had 3 twins one was slightly cheaper and this was reflected in the size but it was still very usable. No complaints re comfort etc... breakfast on both days was brilliant and the evening meals we enjoyed on both nights did not disappoint. as i said on the strength of our positive feelings we booked once again. for those people who live local its a great assetDear Ian Thank you for taking the time to post a fantastic review regarding your recent visit to The Woodberry Inn. We sincerely appreciate your comments and are delighted that you enjoyed your dining experience with us.We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind RegardsThe Woodberry Inn

In need of a relaxing lunch break, we headed here as we know it well and we were not disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome, ale from The Philips Brewery was well served as was the white wine. Our lunch choice was leak and potato soup, lasagne, beef sandwiches, really tasty and well presented. A shared treacle tart and great coffees finished us off before a relaxing walk around the gardens. A great food and hotel venue, with great food and super staff.

The Woodman is a gastro pub set in glorious countryside, specialising in the use of local produce. Fresh fish and shellfish feature on the menu too. You will also find a superb choice of wines and cask ales. In the summer months enjoy the lovely outdoor s
We all met at 7.00 pm having chosen from the menu beforehand which helped the kitchen with such a large party. We were welcomed warmly and the first course was served. My mussels were delicious and really large. The roast lamb was also chosen by several in our party and the portions were very generous. Most of us completed our meal with the raspberry and lemon posset. On the wall in the restaurant was a board showing the local suppliers for the meat, fish and vegetables and the person who makes the desserts. The restaurant is very well known since it is situated on the B4176 which is called by the locals as "the rabbit run".

Good, Home cooked Pub Grub.
Very quirky building loads of clocks of various styles decorate the place and quite a history when you read the back of the menu. Excellent choice on our part .We chose the baked potatoes, mine had loads of tasty Cheddar cheese and my husbands was full of prawns. The potatoes were obviously freshly cooked and stayed hot to the last mouthful. Enjoyable visit.

At The Stable Bar our ethos is to work with local and seasonal produce, ensuring the highest quality in our dishes and having a close relationship with all our suppliers. We are lucky enough to have our meat sourced from our local Bridgnorth butcher, Beam
We were in Bridgnorth for a one night stay and had been recommended here by our hotel manager. What a great recommendation it was! We loved the ambience of the courtyard bar for afternoon drinks and the inside bar was cosy and warm. We ate lunch here then came back in the evening and had an exceptional meal in the restaurant upstairs with first class service. There was a great feel about the place as it was busy and we would return if we ever visit Bridgnorth again.

Local pub
What a very pleasant pub this is. Cosy and welcoming are two words which come readily to mind. Good cooking, good food and fantastic value for money. The cheese board was one of the best I have experienced for ages. A joyful lunch. Highly recommended.

The light bite menu is NOT small and very good value. I had the pie and hubby had the lasagne. He was surprised that the helping seemed normal sized! Staff were attentive and nothing too much trouble.
