We both opted for the 3 courses for £10 which we thought too good to be true. They were extremely busy for a Saturday evening and service was very slow especially drinks. The pork starter which was more like potted pork was so bland you could have been eating anything. The carvery was better the turkey was lovely but the beef very tough and really unedible the vegetables however were great plenty of choice and all cooked to perfection. My eaton mess was horrid mainly consisting of synthetic cream and very sickly. But for £10 I suppose you get what you pay for and for that reason I would not hurry back

A warm welcome awaits you at our traditional Georgian pub. Great beers, quality wine list and classic pub food all in a relaxed pub atmosphere. And did we mention great service too?
Ate here last night,as couldn't be bothered cooking and thought that my opinion on the first review was perhaps a little harsh-------this was also being promoted as 'Pub Grub' night.Frankly I don't understand the wild enthusiasm in other reviews.Once again the starter was teeny weeny in size and no bread offered. Then came an extremely bloody steak which I was told for some reason couldn't be more well done. 8 or 9 very average chips came with this.Still hungry,i thought that the Cheese course[the only alternative to Rhubarb crumble] might be interesting.I had to ask for a fork, and two small thin triangles of cheese were presented to me.Accompanying this bacchanalian feast was a small carafe of vin very ordinary ordinaire.I wont being going again.

Situated in the ancient heart of the city, the Cardinal's Hat is Worcester's oldest inn and thus has plenty of experience when it comes to pleasing hungry and thirsty visitors over the years. Long-considered a local landmark, this historic watering hole i
Been coming in here on and off since the 60s so have seen a few changes.I now pop in a couple of times a month on average on a friday afternoon.A good selection of different beers, cider and lager always on offer and is popular with tourist trade as it offers rooms and a good selection of restaurants very nearby. There is usually nobody behind the bar and not even within shouting distance.A bell is provided to ring for service.I appreciate staff maybe showing rooms to guests etc but this happens nine times out of ten so usually end up walking out.The other day was the exception, not one but two young chaps on duty. One hadnt a clue im afraid regarding quality of drink he was serving and the other bordering on the rude .Ive decided to give it a miss in future till it once again has a change around. Not a very good advert for the pub and worcester.

I gave this a great review in June. Could I revoke it? This visit we arrived after 2.30pm, not realising they had stopped service. The bar man ignored us and continued his chat to a mate at the bar. We waited for 5 mins. We eventually interrupted his chat and asked if we could sit anywhere. He curtly said Yes, and turned back to his conversation, still never greeting us or asking what we would like to drink. We chose a table and read the menus. Still he ignored us. Eventually a waitress appeared, and seemed surprised to see us. She bluntly said they were finished on food, and walked back in the kitchen. We got up and left in disgust, and still the barman ignored us! No wonder this place isnât packed! We will not be returning.

Our food has seen us entered into The Michelin Guide and we like to think we've got the most imaginative food in the area. We cater to all appetites from a light snack through to a la carte and offer a tremendous drinks range. We have a lovely garden, sep

Repeat visitors to this usually first class establishment, however today was a totally different experience. When we arrived we werenât informed of the power cut, hence upstairs seating was unavailable. We went for food but after ordering a bottle of wine we realised weâd have to wait for a table. Eventually one became available so we ordered. Food arrived in good time but sadly the wrong order! Went to the bar & was ignored by the very young & obviously not very experienced in customer service bar staff for about 5 mins. Our correct order arrived about 10 mins later, which was great. Tasted fab as ever! Granted there were electrical issues, but the lack of experienced & people motivated bar staff has put us off future visits.

Ordered three things. Childâs jacket potato tuna sarnie and fish and chips. Not hard right? Obviously was. Only the jacket and sarnie came. No apologies. No offers to do anything about it. Food distinctly average. I am so sorry you had a bad experience. Can i offer you a free lunch for 4 people to try and rectify your experience.

The The Old Bush is located in a pretty secluded spot in the village of Callow End. New owners Matt and Karen have had years of experience in running community pubs and relish the opportunity of bringing the Old Bush back to life. All aspects of the pub a
What a delightful traditional pub, and with excellent service and great food. We loved the themed areas. Concorde was my favourite. We where driving from the south coast to Blackpool and wanted something a little bit special not a motorway service station. The few minutes off the motorway was well worth the effort. I can highly recommend
