Ribs, steaks, burgers, and great drinks including craft beers, top shelf liquor, and more. Established in 2014, the Valley Lodge Tavern is the sister restaurant to Valley Lodge in Glenview.
Wanted to try this place and I thought it was going to be more steaks, but a burger, mixed American foods. Not bad but nothing the really praise about the experience. Will go back and try again.Server was nice but failed to check after food was served Hello, We understand that you've had a mixed experience with us. We tried this place for the first time on Thursday night around 7. It was busy and they donât take reservations, but we were lucky and got a high top table near the bar. The Lady Lydia cocktail was very good, although could have been a wee bit colder. Decent wine and beer selection. The Brussels sprout salad was excellent!! Highly recommend. The Ahi tuna was slightly over cooked. Overall ambiance was nice, bustling place. Itâs a new place, great addition to Wilmette. We will definitely go back for happy hour!

I have been to the Yard House several times and the food is good and consistent. This past Friday we must have been in a shift change because our waitress seemed to disappear mid-meal.We kept looking for her so we could receive our check but 10 minutes went by and no waitress. We did wave down someone else and asked for the check. Our waitress must have left and a new waitress or waiter never acknowledged themselves.I might also mention we were provided a portable "buzzer" letting us know when our table would be ready, but it never beeped and people were getting tables so I provided our name, they checked the monitor and it appeared the buzzer device was never activated. My name did not appear either on the reservation monitor, yet when I arrived, they acknowledged the reservation. Go figure.

This is a neighborhood gem. Just the way the tables are set up creates a friendly place. There is a very good beer selection. It's more than a burger place. For example, I had a roasted veggie quesadilla with guacamole. The walls have artwork, tee flags from golf tournaments and even a mounted bicycle.

Delightful tavern, has been in business for decades, unchanging ambience. Well worth reviewing.
Lived here forty years and only my second visit and wifeâs first..... drive by hundreds of times a year but never stop until today! The food was surprisingly good for lunch, especially the Reuben, and the liver wurst sandwiches. Really, really surprised and happy. The cheeseburger was at best ok and tater tots more novel than tasty. The DAB on tap was excellent as was discovering an original mural over the bar which ran its length.... covered in smoke and dirt over the decades but there!Paper plates and disgusting floor wonât allow five stars but itâs a âreal hootâ of a joint to visit! Weâre happy we did!

It is a very kid friendly and loud place before 8, at least on a Friday night. Lots of kids running around the restaurant. The food was okay, had the fish fry and it was nothing special. The service was great. No problems with timing.

Aboyer is one of three restaurant concepts that is located in this building from Chef Michael Lachowicz. It is a brasserie that is meant to be a casual dining experience, like a French pub, which should be more refined than an English pub. The food is a blend of French & American food with inspirations from around the world. The staff is very professional and is dedicated to service that is quicker and more casual. The staff is also very friendly and informative about the menu selections. As you enter the door and come to the hostess station, Aboyer is the area directly in front of you and it includes a great, contemporary bar.It was wonderful cooking for you and I look forward to seeing you again soon!Best, Michael

If you like distracted dining, this is your kind of place. Loud music, multiple TV's tuned to sports, little kid's running around, and sound bouncing off concrete & metal surfaces. Perfect atmosphere to check your cell phone, text friends, down a craft beer, and shout to the person next to you.The fare is the usual casual dining stuff: burgers, tacos, salads, milkshakes, and more! The food is good, but not great. The prices are high, but not ridiculous. The service is adequate, but not totally inept. And, it all takes place in a re-purposed garage. How cute. When we left, we wished we had eaten someplace else.Totally average.
