The Port Anchor Hotel generally has a good range of dishes on offer at reasonable prices and a nice salad bar. Quality has suffered at times with turn over of staff.Hello Wanted to thankyou for your positive comments in relation to our small establishment and please know that we have a few staff who have been with us for quite a number of years but hopefully as you can appreciate, in this industry as an employer, it is often difficult to not have a turnover of casual staff. We hope you visit us again soon.Kind RegardsManagement & Staff

This was the old Ethelton Hotel refurbished a couple of years back and is a pleasant dining room. Food is typically "Pub" standard but served appropriately eg the topping for Schnitzel is in a small container. We were there for lunch and it was quiet...Publlc Holiday. Must return for an evening meal...menu looks interesting.

Living in the area, I go to The Bartley regularly.Amy and the team offer the best service I have ever encountered in a pub. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is consistently good and the prices reasonable. My children love coming here as family friendly and plenty of room to explore. Highly recommend a visit!

This is a very earthy venture, quirky and fun. Nice selection of beers and wines and as a wine bar it offers light nibbles including home made pizzas. The owners and staff are lovely adding a very welcoming feel to the bar. Retro furniture, local artwork add to the ambiance. Great before or after going to the movies next door or one of the restaurants nearby. We love it!

We eat out in the local area often and this is not our first visit to the Largs Pier. Unfortunately on this occasion the experience was average. The young staff members were not overly friendly or interested - with the exception of the young barman. We ordered a dozen oysters natural and paid top dollar for them so we expected a top quality fresh entree. As soon as the plate was put on the table we could smell them - not rotten but certainly past their prime! We informed the waitress who simply said would you like me to take them away. Yes we replied, expecting an apology/refund /replacement/free drink/dessert or really any kind of response - but - that was it - she and the oysters disappeared forever. Then the mains came out - a $36 mixed grill, Fish of the day(salmon) and sticky ribs. The mixed grill was - in a word - ordinary. Dry pork belly, a little strip of roo, a sausage and a chop. Thats it - overpriced and underwhelming - tasteless even. So tasteless that I asked a waitress for some sauce. That never rolled up - and I never saw that waitress again either! The ribs were ok - but just ok and the fish was good and had no complaints from that meal. The word on the street is that this place is hit and miss - and it seems to be accurate. Managers and owners really need to take note of reviews and put a rocket up some of these kids working as so called hospitality staff. They make sure service is at least consistent and the staff a little more attentive. There are plenty of pubs in the area and we wont be returning to this one next week!

Tucked away at the rear of Infinity Waters apartments and overlooking the lake. Lovely locally patronaged cafe which is also licensed. Great coffee and lovely fresh small meals or tapas which are a little bit different. You feel comfortable here whether with family and friends, on your own or with a newborn. Everyone is welcome. Thanks for your great review Shona. We look forward to seeing you again soon â¤ï¸

Part of the Lake Resort Hotel
Food is average although the menu has now changed since becoming Knots Landing. More choice and more interesting. Roast and salad bar are good and most people enjoy this. Enjoyable restaurant that caters for most tastes including Asian and Australian. Always find something to eat here

Attending a job site in the area, my colleague and I decided the give the British a try, given neither of us had ever been there.Located right at the southern end of the Birkenhead Bridge, there is plentiful parking between the pub and the Port river. We were warmly greeted and invited to sit anywhere we wanted. Both of our meals were excellent, and the serves were quite large. Traditional pub lunch options as well as a couple of South African influenced dishes as well. There would be river views from the function spaces upstairs. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
