In der ehemaligen Dürnsteiner Taverne haben wir eine Café mit Flair eröffnet. Wir verwöhnen Sie mit Snacks Torten und Dessert im Glas.

We came late and tired just for quick dinner. Sitting in a large patio ot the building, we had local food, for me a blackpudding woth boiled potatoes, well seasoned and mixed together (unusual, but quite good), good sauerkraut (cold) with smoked meat and speck. My wife had chicken in a light (not with double cream) paprika sauce and some local pasta. Some local beer, OK for tired tourists, very few guests. Several people were playing bingo in adjointed large room, some light and noises were hearable, but not much. Service was not much interested, delivered what we asked for.
We had ordered Wienerschnitzel and it was like leather( wrong cut of meat, that why it was dry).Later we found out they also serve Sau Maisen, a unique dish for that region in the Wachau. It was so delicious, we went back and indulged again.
