I had dinner while staying at the Doubletree overnight. Walked in to find several 50-ish white businessmen and one African-American female bartender / doing double duty as a server, and her African-American female friend. The friend had connected her phone to the PA system of the bar and was playing it loud. I guess they felt that "Play that Funky Music White Boy", and "Get Down On It" were better than whatever the Hilton felt were good dinner selections. I ordered a Salmon Barigoule with Root Vegetables. For those unaware Barigoule sauce is supposed to be a light creamy reduction of chicken broth and white wine, typically with artichokes in it. What I was served was a rather nice salmon filet that had been broiled, which was then set upon some overcooked celery stalks, a couple small onion pieces and three pieces of artichokes along with five thick lemon slices, in a bowl of warm lemon water. Yuck! Clue to the cook - "root vegetables" are things like parsnips, carrots, celery root and so on. Celery is NOT a root vegetable. If you decide on the salmon ask that it be served without the lemon water, perhaps on some rice or noodles. I also asked for a side of "roasted mixed root vegetables". What was served looked roasted but was barely warmed. We are talking salad bar al dente. There were some large asparagus spears added to the barely warmed carrots that were so fibrous as to inedible. Bad choice. Hey cooks - please cook the food. Thanks. There was no roll or bread served with this $30 meal. At least the server was enjoying the music. There are lots of restaurants nearby. I'd suggest going to one of those rather than wasting your money on overprices poorly prepared food here.

When you drive up, the building is beautiful. It looks like something out of a movie. As you enter inside, you are greeted with smiling people. The Restaurant looks completely brand new, and with many colors, textures, and surfaces. It is really incredible. And the bathroom is spotless. We were here for a wedding shower, and the food was served to us buffet style, and it was top notch! We were served brunch and champagne. We had a yogurt parfait, a fruit platter, eggs. bacon, potatoes, waffles, and strawberries, whipped cream and syrup. The buffet was spectacular. There was nothing to complain about. The food was delicious. And there was plenty of it. There was also bowling, and the alley was the nicest one that I had ever seen. No expense was spared here, and it shows. Everyone that we came into contact that worked here was smiling, happy and helpful. What a delightful place!
Featuring American favorites in a casual setting
This is a decent place to eat - especially for a restaurant in a hotel. The balsamic chicken was quite good. The steaks were good quality and the side dishes were well-prepared. The breakfast buffet in the morning offered lots of choices and the menu offered was good as well. The service for both breakfast and dinner was wonderful. This is a good option if you are staying at the hotel.

I've been to Fredrick's several times. The service is always great. And I'm not a sandwich person but they make the best Shrimp Po Boy. Mmmm. I get one everytime. Plus Frederick is a Kent State grad and I love supporting fellow alumni.

It's easy to see that Lizardville has one of, if not the best, beer and whisky (bourbon, etc. too) offerings in the Cleveland area. What was even more surprising was how good the food is. It's a limited menu, but that's OK when everything on it is great. Bison burgers are still hard to come by around Cleveland, and they have two different ones. Flat-breads are great, and are half-off on Wednesdays. But what really sets this place apart is the knowledge and service of their staff. They will "walk the wall" of beer with you and seem able to comment on every beer you find. Recently I was offered a draft vs. cask comparison of my Bell's Hopslam and really appreciated to chance to try both and to learn even more about a beer I love. This place is top notch without being pretension.

Wanted to check this place out for myself. Couldnât believe some of the reviews were real. Itâs an unusual place, looks like a cookie-cutter fast food restaurant from the outside but the inside is pretty cool. Dark, lots of wood, indoor and outdoor bar and an outdoor seating area that allows smoking, alas only cigarettes, not cigars. Donât really get the logic there, and Iâm sure itâs only a matter of time until cannabis products are acceptable but nothing else is. Oh well, not my shtick.Anyway the comments included things like they werenât welcome, it took forever to get their drink, their orders werenât right, Etc.I walked in, the host was extremely friendly and pointed me to the outdoor bar. I sat there and I would say within 30 seconds was given menus and had my drink order taken. So far so good. I took one of their beer recommendations and it was outstanding. After about 10 minutes I got to the point where I wanted to order another beer and I noticed that there was nobody at the outside bar, and I waited for probably a total of 10 minutes till anybody came back. It was a different bartender, he was ringing somebody up and I just politely asked him when he was done if he could take my order. He was very friendly and said sure what do you want, so I told him. I ordered a burger, he said âlettuce, tomatoes, onion, Catchup and mustard?â I said everything but tomatoes and he acknowledged, and I also ordered an order of boneless wings.I was astonished how fast the wings came out. It couldnât have been more than three minutes. Even someone sitting next to me remarked on it. However they were conventional wings with the bones, not an enormous deal, maybe I misread or said something wrong. They were good, not great. Iâm not a wings fan in general but there was nothing about these that blew me away. Fair enoughThey finally broughy my second beer and then a few minutes later, very quickly, they brought my burger. Well there was cheese and bacon, and the burger itself was absolutely outstanding, but there was nothing Else. No lettuce, no onion, no catchup, no mustard. Again, not a huge deal, Iâm not obsessive and just catchup alone did the trick. Fried were excellent. Meanwhile, note that at no time while I was sitting there did anybody ever offer me any silverware or napkin, And there were is no cutlery visible or within reach.I guess maybe itâs expected that you eat burgers and fries with your hands. I was still OK with that. But I was surprised at how there was such a long gap with nobody out at the bar and how they got a number of things wrong with my order. But I couldâve completely ignored it except the woman next to me ordered salmon and very politely asked if they could cook it custom or if it only came one way. The waitress was very nice and said - no however youâd like it - so the woman ordered it medium rare and made a point of saying that she did not like it cooked dry. After a reasonable amount of time they came out with her salmon and after a few bites I heard her husband ask how it was. She said it was cooked dry. A few minutes later a waitress came up and asked how her meal was and the husband prodded her to tell the waitress. They were not obnoxious at all, they were very respectful and the waitress was very nice and insisted on taking it back and cooking another piece properly. She did, and in a reasonable amount of time came out with the new piece. But that was it. The bread, the Florentine sauce, everything else that had been sent back was gone and only a naked piece of salmon in return.I would go back as they have a great beer selection, and the burger was great, but I would be a little more attentive to what I order. It seems like a systemic problem so I canât just pass it off on a couple of cranky reviewers.

Saturday afternoon for Lunch. Only maybe 5 other tables seated. Lots of large screens with a variety of Sports etc. could be seen from any angle. We tried the Riblet appetizer. It had some sort of weird breading on them. Did not expect it. Thought they would just be with the hot sauce I ordered with them. I had the Original Salad, large size. I always enjoy it when I stop at a Winking Lizard. Other ordered an Asian wrap. We also had 1/2 order of onion rings. Typical frozen and greasy. Not good at all. Service was OK. Free popcorn when you get in so you have something to munch on waiting to be served. One Iced tea and water, our bill was $34.82 not including tip.
