This is a favorite place to stop when out late with friends and family! We frequent the Hills City Grill at least once every other month and have ordered pretty much everything on the menu...all the food is amazing! I highly recommend their famous pizza sticks which you can customize to your taste.

My wife and I moved out of state ten years ago. But we still come back to the area two or three times a year to visit with friends. For years we would meet up with our friends at Champps. However, they went out of business last year so we had to find a new meeting spot. We have picked CJ Mahoneyâs on our last three visits and the service is always great. They have a huge menu. In prior visits weâve had burgers and they were really good. This time we had the pizza and it was great. Even with 14-20 people in our party each visit we have always been blessed with timely and polite waitresses. And youâll enjoy this place if youâre a sports fan. They have plenty of big screen TVs. Good food, good beer, and good service. If you have a large group this place has the means to provide you with the service you need. We highly recommend.

All I have to say was the place was clean, waitress were amazing ( the view wasn't to shabby either) and food was excellent. Oh did I mention the draft beer was not only the coldest I have ever had but at a decent price. Honestly I'm not sure how they do it but hats off to the hiring manager. I've worked In the service industry for many years and wish I had a bar/ restaurant run so smoothly. Love the place and will return with more friends in the future. Oh did I mention we visited the sat and Sunday after the Nascar race was cancelled.

Although burgers are their speciality, they also do a good job with appetizers, drinks and salads. The toppings for burgers are limitless. The fries leave much to be desired, but become passable when eating late and /or while drinking. Servers are fast, efficient and friendly.

I went to Griffin Claw last weekend and was so impressed. This is a restaurant with an on-site brewery. The selection of their beers was very good. There were about 20 listed on the menu, including wheat, IPA, lager, pilsner, stout and ciders. I had 2 flights (8 small glasses) and a burger and fries. Some of the beers were outstanding, and a some just OK. The burger was delicious and cooked to order. Seating is Oktoberfest style - lots of large tables and an outdoor section. It was a very relaxed setting. I will definitely return during our next visit to the Detroit area.

Grand Openiing was this past Tuesday. Very nice place and up-scale from most breweries in the area.
We like Granite City a lot and dine there at least once every time we vacation in the Detroit area. The comfortable, family-friendly vibe of the place and the dependably good food and service are complimented by a fine selection of beers. (I find it hard to make up my mind, so I usually buy a flight.) I'd like to put in a good word for Granite City's Bavarian pretzel appetizer ($7.99). It's absolutely delicious and plenty big enough to share. Our most recent visit to this restaurant was for the specific purpose of enjoying this treat; we didn't even order an entree. BTW, at busy times the noise level in this place can be annoyingly high for diners who want to chat.
