Verdensteatret is the hippest place in town and the beer is quite expensive. Still, there's always a good atmosphere and decent music happening and I always meet someone I know when I get there. A place to experience.

It's not a restaurant so I'm not sure why Tripadvisor is saying it is... however, what it is, is a lovely, friendly bar with a great atmosphere and super-friendly staff. We made a point of calling in most days for a hot chocolate and a beer. It really makes a difference when staff take the time to speak to customers and we certainly got some great info to help make our stay in Tromso perfect. It was like going to Tourist Information, but much better because they have beer.

Been there on 31st of December, right before our Aurora Safari. Tasted cider as well as draftbeer and ate a tasty burger. You can pay with cash or card. Lovely people. No problem starting a conversation with some locals. Good vibes, fine rocktunes, tasty food and cool drinks. Perfect. If the cafe had been open on 1st of January, we surely would have spent some more time there. Two thumbs up! Cheers!

It was my first day at tromso and my partner and I were hungry as we just arrived in tromso. After searching for a place to eat, we decided to try this restaurant. It looked very pretty from the outside and not as crowded as the rests we had visited (they were full). Firstly, the waiter was crude and very snappy, he seemed to be having PMS? Or perhaps heâs having a bad day. Then the food was very salty. The Halibut and pork ribs over cooked. Not tender (I tried Halibut at another restaurant it was totally different and tastes amazing) And how oddly the waiter can tell us that they served authentic Norwegian food which maybe too heavy for our liking when I replied his query about howâs our food. I feel like telling him that this restaurant was the one and only worst we had ever eaten in Norway but I didnât. It was pointless, he seemed so proud of his Norwegian dishes and his superior air about how I would not know what he was saying even if he told us the WiFi password as it was in Norwegian. I had to get up from my table and go read the password located behind the bar as he commands so. So much for looking like a high-class fine dining restaurant! His demeanour and the unproperly cooked foods had left us a very unpleasant evening. Perhaps the restaurant should just put a sign which says âNorwegian onlyâ? I will definitely recommend anyone not to visit this restaurant. It would ruin your day, not even to a local as their food certainly is a failure.

Agenturet Ãl og Vinbar is located in one of Tromsos oldest building (1837) and with it comes a lot of history. Agenturet opened its doors on the 17th of November 2016, and has been well received by both locals and visitors. The original timber walls creat
Cosy little bar with a nice atmosphere. The barman is knowledgeable and happy to give advice about the beers on offer. Took a look at the menu £25 for burger and chips sums Norwegian prices up perfectly

Sitting here and trying to describe this place is actually not that easy, its more a sight to behold. It is a mashup of cozy, fancy and rustic feeling, with sweet jazz and blues on the speakers. restaurant Gastro pub by day, lounge bar and occasional live
We absolutely loved the food at this slightly eclectic pub. It is the perfect mix of international and local fare (reindeer shepherd's pie, for example). As mentioned by other reviewers, the atmosphere is also great â finding a nice balance between Tromsø residents and visitors. Kids are also welcome.Tip: On our second visit it was "Taco Tuesday" which is great value in an otherwise very expensive city.

Traditional beer cellar in Tromso city centre connected to Mack Brewery. Open Monday-Friday 9am-6pm (Saturday 9am-3pm)
This pub is attached to a brewery and has a nice warm pub atmosphere. An impressive line up of beers. We just stopped for an afternoon beer and it was a perfect place for that. It is also a historical location so one can also feel you are gaining some culture in addition to the yeast cultures provided by the beer.

Arriving on a belated Hurtigruten from North at 0:30 and have not eaten anything since an early brekkie this place 'saved my life'. Their baked potatoes are recommended but I needed a burger. Of course the burger was delicious given the circumstances but I felt that the meat was very good too. Service was very friendly, fun and welcoming. Would do it again. Nobody has to starve late at night in Tromsø.
