In Thunder Bay overnight at the Days Inn, Wyndham North and the '5 Forks Restaurant' is just a short walk next to it so we decided to head there for dinner.Hubby ordered a Craft beer and I, a Virgin Caesar. LOTS of ice in the Caesar but it was very good, complete with a stick of pepperoni, a hot pepper and a pickled bean. We decided to split two of the 'Shareable Boards', a mini cast iron fry pan of Steak tips and mushrooms cooked in Cajun spices and 'garlic bread' and the Peri-Peri chicken tacos. We would order the Steak Tips again, although they should really label the garlic bread as a garlic stick (it's about an inch in diameter and 6 inches long). The dish had lots of flavour and the bread was good to help mop up the sauce. We wouldn't order the Tacos again. 3 to an order. They were VERY messy and had a way higher ratio of coleslaw and sauce than they did Peri Peri chicken. On the whole it was 'okay'. They did have Fish n' Chips on the menu and the fish was coated in crumbled Salt and Vinegar chips. I'd like to try that.Service was okay, ambiance was nice and the booth we were in was comfortable.

Four of us had dinner this evening at the Red Lion. Get the cheese curds and the pickled vegetables. Wonderful and attentive service. Portions are very generous and the drink selection is fantastic. Souvenir glass is a lovely take away. For 4 people including appetizers and beers $150. Gave the waiter at $20 tip as he was awesome.

A friendly neighborhood pub in the historic Bay Algoma district in Thunder Bay. Great pub fare, a large selection of draught beer (local taps, and old favorites) and over 130 selections on the whiskey bar. A local favorite for a fun, casual night out sinc

This is a rocking place, regardless of day or time. We went with some colleagues after a long day on a Friday afternoon around 5pm, and weren't disappointed. There really isn't a lot of parking. I ended up with a street spot a couple of blocks away. It's right downtown so be prepared. No reservations are accepted. Seating for about 75 at the bar and tables. Families, groups of friends, and couples all enjoyed the evening fare. The food is upscale pub. Our group enjoyed a variety of dishes, and the quantity pretty much matched the price. A fairly decent alcohol menu as well. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is how busy it is (fair enough, it's a good place to eat), but how close we were packed in, and the noise. We were practically shouting to each other, and couldn't hear the person two seats down from us.Will probably go back next time I'm in Thunder Bay.
