Went for a birthday celebration and had a lovely evening. The food was first class, so much so, we rang the following day to express our appreciation of a wonderful meal, great atmosphere and very helpful, polite and attentive staff.Would certainly recommend The Derry, one of our party came from Nottingham and she canât wait to come back again.

Another top notch meal from Sir Thomas Brown, can not get past the parmo. Tried the spicy one which was lush loads of flavours melting in your mouth. Home made chips and love the garlic. Friendly atmosphere. Great choice of drinks.Thank You John for the lovely review, We are so pleased you enjoy your Parmo's when you visit us. We hope to see you again very soon

Now under new management - one of Yarm's oldest watering holes has had a facelift and refit but still retains the personality for which it's famed.
Went here on a Thursday night. Used to have really nice pub food however don't know what's gone wrong but it's not great . Burgers , hot dogs or sausage and mash unless like us when we got over the shock and decided to order -NO SAUSAGES !!! On such a limited selection the fact that half the menu was unavailable was pretty dismal. So we ordered burgers which quite frankly were ok , nothing special and way overpriced for the size of them . The one star rating was for the decent presentation . I fear they will have to up the ante a little , we for one will not rush back .

Mid terraced village pub with large rear beer garden. We concentrate on home cooked food, real ales, quality wines and a range other hot and cold beverages.
Been here a few times but this is my 2nd review of the Sunday lunch. The meat falls apart, lovely mash, roasties and large yorkie. My previous review criticised the choice of âseasonal vegâ but I find the choice of veg unusual it was perfectly pleasant - spiced red cabbage, slices of turnip and cauliflower (no greens) however itâs a personal choice and this was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday lunch, far exceeded my expectation - but so it should at £14 per head. Gravy lovely too !!

Lunch was nice, Beef was nice and Yorkshire pudding was also nice. Would have liked a wider veg selection as it only came with a small amount of mash, 1 big BOILED potato (I prefer roasties!), about 4 carrots and some cabbage. The table next to us had Cauliflower/Broccoli cheese which we assumed must have came with the meal as we didn't see it anywhere on the menu as an extra and we didn't receive any. We also had to ask for more gravy and the horseradish sauce was about a teaspoon full in a tiny pot. Apart from that it was really tasty and the service was fast so we will be back to try again but will be prepared to ask for extras next time!

Steven James Sticky Fingers Cafe/Bar is a music bar and eatery sitting beside Steven James Guitar and Amp Centre, on Linthorpe Rd Middlesbrough. We have created an enviroment where you can come and relax during the day with a glass of wine, craft beer or
I use this bar on a regular basis, once or twice a week, for a drink and a game of chess. It's friendly, the drinks are decent quality and reasonably priced, and the music is pretty good. However, this clearly depends on the person in charge of the bar. Today the barman on the mid-afternoon shift was clearly having a bad day. Depressing music and a depressing attitude which virtually chased us out of the place. However bad day your day there is no need to take out on the customers who help to pay your wages.Disappointing.Hi Alice, So so sorry to hear this, and would like to know what member of staff this was, as this is my business and i have a playlist of upbeat eclectc tunes that i insist are played for our customers, sorry you had a bad experience.. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!Steven James.

Out for a friends Birthday Lunch. Never been before but will be back again. Two had Lamb one had Beef, good portion size and we had to take the dessert home with us. Two crumbles and one bake well tart. Great food, great service and they have hand pull beers, will be trying them next time.

If you're looking for a great place to eat, this is it! The food (starters through desert) could not have been more perfect! Every dish was exceptional & nice that the food is sourced locally to help surrounding businesses in the area! The building is beautiful, quaint & has a relaxed, calm atmosphere. The history of the building is fascinating too. The staff are friendly & accommodating and absolutely go out of the way to make sure you have the best experience. 10/10

Had a breakfast Saturday morning to set us for a long weekend walk on the riversideReally lovely breakfast, nothing at all missing (as some are), really well cooked, lovely fresh bread for toastsCan't speak highly enough of this breakfast & kitchenStaff were great, One to note for walkers - We were allowed to take the dog in, -sat him under the seat (we fully understand when we can't so it's nice to know somewhere we can)Yes we will go back, yes we would recommedThanks very much, Terry M. We all massively appreciate your lovely comments about the food and the team here. Dogs are definitely welcome, I know this probably isn't the right thing to see but I think the Hope & Union crew are more excited about dogs than actual customers ;) Thanks again and see you soon.
