Local guy who started brewing in brew club and now has his own place. The building is in the old mint building. (Government never actually used it as a mint after building it.) They also have some snacks and salads and sandwiches, too. Good local wine and cider.

First time here, stopped by for late lunch/early dinner. Nice place, good atmosphere, very nice outdoor dining area. Our server was ok, not very friendly but not rude. She spoke very little to us. We ordered the Beer Cheese Fries which were very good, just the right balance of cheese sauce and bacon, a few too many jalapeños but we just scraped them off. We also had the Chicken Hickory Bacon Caesar Wrap and the Gangsta's Paradise Burger. The wrap needed more chicken and could have been a bit bigger, my husband was still a little hungry after having it. The burger was great! Really nice blend of all the flavors, I would definitely order it again. The beer and wine selections were really great as well. Our meal was served in a very timely manner and overall we liked it, good selection of items on the menu. We will be back if we're in the area again in the future.

Clock Tower Ales is a new pub in The Dalles, Oregon. They offer pizza, salads, sandwiches, wraps and many appetizers. They are working on their own brews but until they perfect them they offer many wonderful brews, all on tap. It's a bright and happy plac
With a strange hand-off between wait staff right in the middle of our group ordering, it was the first clue that service was not a priority. After several inquiries about the status of our food (on not a very busy evening), it finally arrived about an hour after ordering. When we complained, they had to call a manager at home to get any resolution which was comping our round of drinks they had brought us during the wait! The food was actually very good when it did arrive, but probably not worth the hour wait.
