They ticked all the boxes for me. I was impressed that the plate was heated and therefore my food was not cold at all. Serves generous. No itâs not Michelin 3 star, but itâs good pub food. Please expand the wine list!

While we provided a complimentary meal in regards to the undercooked burger last time, if you have any further comments to make that will further help us to improve our service please contact us at [email protected]

We have recently moved to this area, and love Wangi. We stumbled across Tuesday night specials at the RSL, and have been every Tuesday for over 4 months now. Also brought other members of our family & friends on other days. It's a great place, and very good food at good prices.

Located in the heart of Lake Macquarie NSW, the Gunyah Hotel offers convenient accommodation with modern amenities and affordable rates. The recently renovated pub offers traditional pub feel with a modern touch and breath-taking views of Lake Macquarie.
The very best experience to celebrate my husbands 60th.We selected The Gunyah Hotel primarily for its modern open and airy aspect, both in the bar and restaurant, overlooking Lake Macquarie.Provided with a long table for 18. Had tapas to start while people mingled. Ordered and received excellent mains and staff had refrigerated the cake and lit candles ( some of which they provided) and presented same to table when requested with plates and spoons. This whole experience couldnât have gone better.Susan

To top it off, We wanted a very lazy sunday at home watching movies without adulty and thanks to the shack we were able to get takeaway. Thanks for a perfect sunday.

Large Restaurant with well spaced tables and chairs inside and outside. View of the Beach outside. Kid friendly area, Pet friendly outside with a doggy treat menu available.
The staff here are worth the visit on their own. They are, without exception, personable, genuine and friendly. The warm smiles and welcoming demeanour make a meal here all the more enjoyable. As for the food, well it is also delightful. Quality ingredients, thoughtfully combined and cooked with skill. Meals are delivered to the table promptly and the servings are generously proportioned. Give the slow cooked brisket a try: flavoursome and tender. Thankyou so much wanderering1 for your kind review. We think our staff are pretty special and so glad you think so too. Delighted to hear you enjoyed our slow cooked brisket. We will be trialling a few more winter delights in the coming weeks so hope to see you back here soon. Thanks again

Located in the beautiful Lake Macquarie. We are the friendliest pub in town with great food, beer & banter.
On Friday 19th October my husband and I went to Swansea Hotel with relatives for dinner. Our relatives told us they have very good meals at Swansea Hotel. We were sadly disappointed. Our relatives had pork belly and lamb cutlets and said their meals were great. My husband and I had lamb shanks.Unbelievably aweful. The meat wasn't falling off the bone. It was tough and had no flavour. The sauce hadn't penetrated the meat. My husband had to wait longer for his meal because they stuffed his order up. While my husband was waiting for his meal he called the waitress over and told her my lamb shank wasn't cooked properly and was tough. She just looked at us and said nothing. My husband asked her if she could tell the chef. She said she would. We never heard another word about it. We don't even know if the chef was told. My husband's lamb shank arrived and it was no better. We really should have sent them back and got something else. $24 each for a tough flavourless lamb shank is a rip off.No acknowledgement or offer to rectify the issue was appalling. We were only visiting and aren't keen to ever come back.
