07/31/2019Patio dining on a beautiful, late July, Wednesday evening, incredible views of the ocean, islands, sailing yachts (a weekly race by the local yachts Called "wet Wednesday's), sea birds and azure seas was the awesome setting for a perfect evening. Our server, Jesse was totally professional, yet with a warm, friendly personality and a refreshingly positive attitude. We started off with a cold bottle of Veuve Cliquot Champagne, delivered in an ice bucket with the perfect balance of water and ice, allowing the bottle to rest, well immersed in the ice water. What could go better with crisp champagne, than a half dozen Fanny Bay oysters accompanied with sourdough rolls and whole wheat olive rolls. The oysters were shucked properly, juices still intact and with just a squeeze of lemon, the flavors were exquisite. As long as we were at the ocean, dining on ocean delicacies, we decided to continue with the Seafood Platter, a combination of lobster, shrimp, crab legs and ahi tuna over a bed of ice and decorated with varieties of seaweed. The small, 1/2 lobster tail was broiled which gave it a unique flavor. The King Crab legs were split and though probably shipped frozen, were not watery nor mushy. The Shrimp were double sized, really firm and flavorful. The Ahi was accented with mild soy and garnished with ripe avocado, though it needed a healthy dose of squeezed lemon to really bring out the flavor. Beautiful experience from start to finish. Well worth the upper end price.

My husband and I were staying one night in Santa Barbara while driving from San Francisco to LA. My husband likes trying local beer whenever we visit somewhere, we wandered around Santa Barbara and discovered Figuero Mountain brewing co. It had a nice looking beer gardens and was local so we went in for a drink. The beer was nice and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting in the beer garden under the string of lights.

We visited Santa Barbara as a day trip from LA and it was such a refreshing trip. Santa Barbara itself is absolutely beautiful and the restaurants/bars in the local area all looked fantastic. One that really stood out was Finney's so we decided to stop off for a bite of lunch. It is located on the road just opposite the pier so a prime location. Their craft beer menu was impressive and food menu also seemed right up our street (serving everything from pizza, burgers, tacos etc). We ordered pepperoni pizza & some chicken tacos (as well as beers and cocktails) we were very impressed with the quality and timing of the food. The only downside was the service wasn't great and half the time we had to stop the servers from congregating at the till having a catch-up and gossiping to try and get their attention. The toilets were clean and located at the back of the restaurant and there is an outdoor seating area during the hotter months. Whilst we was there a mariachi band came and played songs like "La Bamba" etc for tips which we really enjoyed. Overall, aside from the average levels of service, we still had a fab time!Instagram: @journeywithuss

We enjoyed a great dinner at Rincon Brewery. We just ordered appetizers but the food was delicious and filling! We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and it was great to see so many locals in the restaurant. I would definitely go back and try their burgers.

Nice little wine bistro with outside seating - perfect for nice warm sunny afternoon. And, as a bonus - wonderful live music adding to the atmosphere.

There is free street parking in the area. The restaurant is decorated like a hunting lodge with trophy animal heads, license plates, photographs, and other items on the walls. There is full bar service. There are a few televisions, but I would not call it a sports bar. There are tables and booths as well as seating at the bar. The service is friendly and accommodating. The food was very good.
