We were very lucky to find this place last night while just walking around downtown. I have never heard anything of them so we decided to give it a try and so glad we did. The food and drinks were so amazing...I had a lime margarita, civeche, and we had this amazing platter for two. The food was way better than I expected. My husband said it was better than Willy Taco. We will be spreading alot of good words about this place and look forward to going back soon.

The Growler Haus was fairly close to our hotel so we stopped in for some refreshments after a rather mundane meal at another restaurant. The beer selection was very good with well over a dozen choices on tap. There didn't appear to be any table service so you have to have to order at the bar. I spoke to the gentleman behind the bar and picked a stout based on his recommendation. It was just what I was looking for and appreciated his guidance. The place is well laid out and offers a comfortable environment to kick back and relax. It's cozy but you don't feel crowded at all. The background music was there but not overwhelming and the 70's and 80's selections of the day were appropriate for the eclipse that happened a few hours earlier. We saw that food was being served but we didn't order anything. It was our first visit to Spartanburg and first time in the Growler Haus but I think this could easily be my primary watering hole if I found myself in town again.

A dive with the best "Redneck cheeseburger" in town and a surprising number of good beers on tap. people have used Tripadvisor as a way to say the Chick Fil A is one of the best restaurants in town while the Nu Way isn't even on the list. It's awful!
Pathetic. Coming in from out of town I eagerly awaited the chili cheeseburger. I got a refigerator cold bun that engulfed an oversized meatball. The chili added was brown water. Fries that I paid an extra dollar for (didn't care for the American tradition of cheeseburger and chips) were lumped together and lukewarm. Wife got a grilled cheese where the bread was a tiny bit warmer than the cheese. Same deal on fries.Boys got a Po Boy, Reuben and chicken sandwich. 2 out 3 liked it but not the lumpy cold fries. 12 patrons and 5 working on a Saturday right after noon. Took 45 minutes to get our order so time to prepare was not an issue. 4 soft drinks and a water netted a $60 bill. $12 a person for the fare described above. Someone told me that the NuWay recently changed ownership and food distributors. I don't know about that. I just know that it's changed and as a result, so will I.

The Hickory Tavern is the perfect place for a business lunch, after work happy hour, or to go watch any game! Bring the kids or just have a girl's night out. Whatever the occasion, the Hickory Tavern is always the perfect destination!
We went for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. The wings are prepared differently and delicious. Monday was BOBO burger so we took advantage of that and were pleasantly surprised by the numerous choices. The pork rib eye was soo tender and flavorful. The service was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the menu since this was our first visit and will not be the last.

Check this place out. Went there for a beer and stayed for the music. They gladly made a friend the drink he wanted and offered all the rest of us a terrific beer and wine menu. The music began the place started hopping. You won't be disappointed.

We've always tried all Irish places as I, personally, love Shepherd's Pie. This place is cute and what you would expect a true Irish pub would be like in Ireland. They have a vast amount of beer and mixed drinks selections. There's an ever changing calendar of events ranging from trivia contests to live music. Its an overall relaxing and fun place to go after work or during the weekend. I must say, though, the Shepherd's Pie was lacking from others that I have had but it still was good.
