Friend and I went for lunch, she ordered sweet tea and I ordered coffee. When the server came back with the tea and no coffee I expected to hear âcoffee is brewingâ which I am used to hearing at even fine restaurants. No, she said there was no coffee in the building. âNot many people ask for it!The grinders we ordered were ok, my friend ordered steak au jue and I ordered Philly cheesesteak, cheese is normally cooked with the steak, not so here, just melted on the roll! We also ordered fries that were great.
Stopped in here on a Monday night during the US Open. Pretty quiet (activities were going to crank up starting Tuesday). The bartenders and some locals were extremely friendly. Told about history of Pinehurst and good places to visit and eat. Highly recommended for a beer and socailizing.

I donât often comment straight away on the plating. But the entrees were nicely done. I wanted everyone elseâs dinner too. The rolls were a good start. I went with shrimp and grits. Good grits. My mom had the pork. They did a nice update to the restaurant. Good sized bar. Lots of dining space for golf crowds. Really good service.

Fun little bar/restaurant! Went out with a bunch of friends and had a great time! Had some problems with our bill where we were charged $20 more than we were supposed to be. It happened twice. So check ur bill! Good food and drinks and a live DJ, who played great music!

At here on a Friday night. Only available tables were outside which had a nice feel and the weather was perfect for it. Pimento cheeses appetizer served with fried wontons which was a neat twist. A lot of typical bar fare but with some good twists Good beer selection and service was on point. Can't go wrong here and you will get a solid meal.Thank you! We really appreciate your generosity. It's always nice to know that we are moving in the right direction.

We love coming here on Tuesdays for $5 burger where you can design your own. We love the Swiss cheese with mushrooms. Had two incredible appetizers with friends. Pretzel sticks was one. Get a cheap Guinness as well.

The Bell Tree Tavern is a locally owned Restaurant with a full service bar and great outside patio and bar. Located in the center of downtown Southern Pines it features a gorgeous outdoor patio and bar and has 10 large screen TV's for the avid sports fan.
Six of us, including two young girls, went here for dinner. The girls ate chicken soup, and we gave them some of our dishes, too. I ordered hummus, which was served warm with very good warm pita sections. My husband ordered an open face tuna melt, which was difficult to cut but very tasty. We shared an order of onion rings, which were okay. Two others shared a French dip sandwich that they described as very good. Their sweet potato fries were a bit soggy, though. This is a tavern, but the hostess and server welcomed us and were attentive. Their beers were not served in pint glasses.Thank you for your patronage. I am glad we exceeded your expectations. We do use 16oz pint glasses for our beers which is different than the European 20 oz pints. We do this specifically based on the alcohol content of some of our beers and it helps control over consumption. Thank you again.

I was really looking forward to eating here to fill my craving for some good Brit food. Boy was I disappointed when my âbangersâ and mash arrived. Rather than eating bangers that I was expecting, these tasted more like smoked sausages. Mashed potatoes were ok but nothing special and the peas were luke warm. Our friend had the fish and chips that were âgoodâ. In fairness, my wife had the burger and said it was as great as advertised. This is the reason I still gave a 3 rating. We will go back to the other âEnglishâ pub next time.
