Shares the Pesto Chicken Flatbread. Itâs made with chicken, basil, oven roasted tomatoes, bacon, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, all on a flat bread. It came out looking like a pizza. It was just prefect to share for our mid day lunch. Nice open air interior. The on street parking is always a pain. Always busy.
I used to live in Solana Beach and frequented this bar in it's previous incarnation. We wandered in after a show at the Belly Up and found music and fun on tap. Stayed until the buzzer and we'll be back when in Solana Beach. Staff was fun and attentive.

We had a late post-beach lunch here. Two draft beers and orders of calamari tacos (my husband said they were yummy), wings (good, nothing amazing) and a Caesar salad with grilled Mahi Mahi. That made the whole trip worth it! Our server, Amanda, was very nice and attentive and the outdoor atmosphere makes it fun and not fussy. Would definitely go back. The food is comfortable, delicious and reasonably priced.

Viewpoint says it all...great local vibe! We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks here on Saturday afternoon and loved it. It is all open air and when the weather is good they take the windbreak down so you get the feeling of hanging out on a deck. Great bar seating and a few tables with fire pits. Try the burgers if you are hungry or share one of many great apps. We did the fried shrimp...delish!! Good wine selection too if you are not a beer lover.

The name "Pillbox" is a nod to the WWII look-out function of the Fletcher Cove area; the pillbox name was given to the concrete towers where the Army soldiers would be on the look-out for Japanese submarines. Today, this beautifully restored Victorian is the home to both the Pillbox Bar & Grill (downstairs) and a law office upstairs. It also was the home (circa 1927) for a pool hall (officially called a "recreation center" back in the day). The Pillbox has a great menu, a location near Fletcher Park that can't be duplicated, and is housed in a drop-dead gorgeous Victorian that, alone, is worth a visit just to see.We enjoyed our stop here and appreciated the dose of history!

Fun to watch a game there. If you Uber, it is a little hard to find. Back in a nook. Cool place and cool people

My wife and I were wandering the various shops on South Cedros Avenue, and wanted to find a place for a quick lunch, We looked inside Belly Up, the menu was appealing, and fortunately there was a free table in the outdoor dining area We grabbed seats, and were promptly met by a wonderfully pleasant and efficient waitress who brought our beverages and took our order. Delicious fresh baked chewy bread and butter were provided. My wife opted for the lobster enchilada which consisted of two large and delicious enchiladas with generous sized servings of refried beans, Spanish rice. I chose the blackened shrimp Cobb salad which also was terrific.Taking into account the nice atmosphere on a beautiful day, fabulous service, delicious food, we are very glad we happened to stop in to Belly Up for lunch!

Now on the ocean in Cardiff, PCG is a hip and artistic trip for your senses. Feast on extraordinary Pacific Coast Cuisine in visually stunning surroundings. The Pacific Coast Grill is a place to see and be seen and most of all, to enjoy.
Classic California restaurant full of entitled millennials to serve you. Arrived in the valet lot only to find and Iâm noxious attendant that âwelcomed usâ to the restaurant. We came to go to the upstairs bar but that was not open on a Saturday afternoon. We were Crammed into the dark, cold downstairs area as they probably didnât have enough employees to work the full restaurant⦠Hereâs the good news the ice was cold and so was the beer. We ordered a roll that had questionable texture on the raw fish. Not very flavorful⦠Deciding not to order additional items seem to irritate the waiter. Upon our decision to leave the valet attendant helped three different patrons that were behind us in line before they helped us. It then took over 15 minutes to bring my vehicle from some lot elsewhere. As a parting gift the valet obnoxiously asked for a tip. Overrated and entitled when there are many other places to go.
