Reviews on Pub food in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, United States. Shenandoah is a borough in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States, located in the anthracite-mining region approximately 100 miles (160 km) northwest of Philadelphia. It is distinct from Shenandoah Heights, which is part of West Mahanoy Township immediately to the north.
One of my go-to bars in town. A great Irish bar with good food and a super friendly staff. Their 4-tap draft system usually features at least 1 craft beer and they also have a nice selection of domestics, imports and craft beer in bottles. The liquor selection is ample enough to make most of the more common mixed drinks. McNiff's has a great all-around food menu with a "theme" for each night they're open. Example, Build your Own Burger on Thursdays. McNiff's can get busy, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings, so expect a bit of a wait. Prices are very reasonable for the ample meal portions. Take out available.Weekends usually include some sort of entertainment, a local band, solo singer or DJ, for after dinner hours.
Used to be great local entertainment and food. Now closed for several years. Do not accept the rating given above, for whatever reason I can't change it...add 3 more. It was the place to be for local entertainment for it's day in northern Schuylkill.
