Senglea (Maltese: L-Isla [ˈlɪslɐ]), also known by its title Città Invicta (or Civitas Invicta), is a fortified city in the South Eastern Region of Malta. It is one of the Three Cities in the Grand Harbour area, the other two being Cospicua and Vittoriosa, and has a population of slightly below three thousand people. The city's title Città Invicta was given because it managed to resist the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. The name is Senglea since the Grand Master who built it, Claude de la Sengle, gave this city a part of his name.

Nice little place set in the main square in Birgu - perfect on a sunny day for watching the world go by. Very good value lunches - pastries, wraps and pasta dishes. Great value for money.

The Cheeky Monkey Gastropub is a new unique venue where fun is not an option, good food is compulsory, and being drunk is permitted.
There needs to be a rating between average and very good, which is where this review sits. Overall not bad, reasonable value and decent portion sizes....but lacking in the sort of wow factor which I would expect when âgastroâ is mentioned. The burger for instance was likely cooked from frozen and had a tight, over blended texture. Some may like this, but I have had way better. So, donât let this review put you off, we left well fed......but donât expect to be over excited by it either.

Server very friendly, but food was very low quality! Ordered the marinated chicken burger- only to get a cheap tasting processed chicken burger. I could have got the same quality from a take away shop for a quarter of the price! Definitely overrated for what is it! Beef burger wasn't great tasting either, you can tell it was cooked from frozen. The doubled dipped fries were over cooked as well. The food is nicely served, but the quality of the food is appalling! I will not return.

At ''Wild Honey'' you can have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.Come and have a Coffee or a Drink in the fascinating atmosphere of the streets of Valletta.Friendly people & sweet laughs accompany the evenings of live music.
Only seems to be open in the evenings and with a seating capacity of around 15 it is ... well, quite cosy. Decent choice of Belgian beers and quite a good selection of spirits. There is food (but I didn't look at a menu). Rock/Blues music and not a biker in sight!. Splendid!

Clean and freshly prepared food from quality ingredients. Service was amazing! What we had and highly recommend is the quinoa salad, chicken with vegetables and cous cous, a bean soup with truffel served with crackers with a bean paste on top of it. The bean paste is super tasty! Our dessert was typical maltese one: vanilla ice cream with dough filled with fig paste and all together indeed fits perfectly.
