Not dressed for the Saratoga scene and want a drink? Well this is the place. A wonderfully charming little place to have a drink with friends or make a few new ones. Low on formality, but high on funk and spirit. If the street is full of cars there is parking around back don't be dismayed.

Saratoga is brimming with wine bars, but Stilettos carved its niche by its unique offering of wine, high-heeled shoes, and fun events. like Rock Art Nite or Plant Nite. You can build a terrarium or decorate rocks while drinking wine! Sometimes they have live music. The shoes and events might offer a fun night out, but the wine doesn’t. I turned back one wine that was badly oxidized (part of a three-wine tasting). Later, another glass of wine was beginning to turn. If a wine bar does not have enough turnover in the wine, this is bound to happen unless they take steps to preserve the wine after opening. Go to Stiletto’s for the events. Drink only the wine that you know has been opened that day.

Not sure why this was listed on Trip Advisor as Mountain Restaurant. Several dining experiences are available at the Mountain Winery. I'm reviewing the Chateau Deck. The prix fixe of starter, entree, and dessert was delicious. For starters, my husband chose the beet and tofu salad He generally does not like salad, but he ate all of it! I had the prawn caesar salad. The prawns were not only large, but flavorful. My husband had an excellent pork chop while I enjoyed perfectly cooked filet of beef. The desserts were delivered to the suite as the concert was starting just as we finished our entrees. Decadent chocolate mousse and a beautiful berry shortcake were a perfect ending. The service was prompt, efficient, and helpful especially as we were a table of 18. The views of the valley at sunset were spectacular. I enjoyed the pinot noir, and others said the chardonnay was quite good.

This would not be my first choice for a "date night" If you want to hear your partner/date/guest talk as it was very noisy when we were there for dinner. That being said we did enjoy our dinner choice. My wife had a panko covered Pork chop picatta and I had the Chicken Marsala. Both were delicious and served hot which was nice. We had the steak bites with a dipping sauce for our shared starter with two glasses of their Pinot Grigio. The steak bites were delicious! Also they came hot which was great. Service was fast and efficient. We had received a $50 gift certificate for a Christmas gift and spent about $45 more for our wines and starter and tip. We got in about 5 pm and were out by 6:15 pm so we were happy campers.
