What a find in Santa Cruz! The pizza and pasta were both delicious here. The service was great as well. They have an all-you-can-eat night and the night we went, they were having a team trivia contest which was super fun. Drinks and beer choices were plentiful.

Outstanding! This was our first time to visit Back Nine Grill & Bar,which surprised us at dinner last night with a great experience. Generous portions, tasty quality ingredients, and the service couldn't have been better. We've lived in Santa Cruz for many years, and everyone here knows how there's a limited number of places with both good food and service. Back Nine is a new favorite for us!

We visited to try out some Mexican cuisine and beer. Lupulo doesnât brew on the premises but they offer a good selection of brews from IPA, stouts, sour ales and more. We all enjoyed our menu selections. I had the veggie empanadas and they were delicious. We were there on the one night a month they play loteria which as also called âput a bean on itâ (aka Bingo). It was a lot of fun and we learned some Spanish nouns along the way.

Great indoor/outdoor seating with large variety of microbrews. They have a great sampler offering and large screen TVs/heaters inside and outside. Bring a jacket as the fog can roll in!

Husband's fave bar in Santa Cruz when we visited, you pay by card at the till in exchange for a wristband which you can then use to purchase measures of beers along the walls. Great selection, and there are wines and ciders too. Great way to sample lots of beers at a cheap price. Very helpful assistants and nice vibe.

We were downtown and decided to go have a drink here, as it said on the door, Irish Pub. You're met as you walk in, with a steep stair walk, not good if you have limited mobility. Once at the top, you enter the bar/restaurant. It didn't have the Irish bar scene as we know it. Not vey authentic at all, To us, it was just an American bar, with a few Irish pictures on the walls. No Irish music either! The bar was well stocked, so we had a drink. The lady behind the bar was polite and friendly. It was o.k. If you say it's an Irish bar, then make it look and feel like you're in one.

There were several crowded places in the downtown Santa Cruz area for lunch, but 99 Bottles was on a side street and nearly empty. I have no idea why. We ordered their light lunch which consisted of a half sandwich and a side. This was perfect, the half sandwich was actually pretty big and the side was an ample serving as well.As for how it tasted, really good. The turkey I'm certain was carved off a freshly roasted bird in the back. It was so much better than the typical processed garbage so many places serve. The house made potato salad was incredible. It had bacon, dill, and other spices (no mayo) that gave it a bit of a kick.I would definitely go back again. The quantity was perfect and being the light lunch was a bargain. The only downside was the service was a bit slow, but not unreasonable. Overall, a great lunch.

This might sound nit-picky, but the fish tacos that I ordered came with salsa and chips, and I only received 5 chips (as did my Mother) and had to ask for more. Other than that, amazing food! The salsa was delicious. There are three dollar mini desserts!! That's right, three dollars!
