Ate here yesterday with my son and was very impressed with the quality of food.We chose 3 courses and each one was tasty and well presented.I wasn't expecting such good quality for the incredibly low price. The staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome.I have eaten at most places in Sandwich and this was one of the best Sunday lunches I have eaten.

How nice to find a traditional village pub with genuine home cooked food.We went for lunch and chose from the 'specials board'. Home cooked ham and home cooked chips for the ham egg and chips and the other two of us had the fish pie which had a LOT of tasty fish in it. This was accompanied by carrots and peas. For dessert, one had the chocolate pud (looked a little like death by chocolate as it was so big!) The other two of us had the strawberry roulade, both came with pouring cream and all perfect . The two courses are £8.50 which we thought was a good deal and then discovered if we joined their lunch club (£10 for a year), it would then be £6.50. No question about it, we joined! There is a garden and we felt the whole atmosphere very welcoming. Obviously we will be going back and very soon hopefully! My husband said the beer was very good too!

Delicious food, wonderful wine & fine ales on tap. The New Inn has everything you want in a local Inn. Our traditional bar has a superb atmosphere & our friendly efficient staff are on hand to cater for anything you may need.
Popped into the New Inn yesterday on a chilly but sunny Sunday. Vary busy but found a table in the corner of the bar. Food choices were either the specials board or the Sunday menu. We all (4 of us) chose from the Sunday menu and everything was table service, no standing at the bar waiting. The food was received hot with only a little wait on square plates and vegetables etc arrived in their own dishes. Dessert was also of large serving size. The staff (ladies) made us all very welcome, like we had been customers for years. A lovely lunch experience, good grub, good price and super friendly ladies. We will be back.Thank you for the lovely review. Our Sunday menu is so popular and we like you to come in and relax and enjoy our dining experience. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Welcome to The George & Dragon Inn, Sandwich. This property dates from 1446 and has been a licensed inn since 1552. It has undergone many changes since it was built, but from the day it was first licensed over four centuries ago the house has never closed
Seemingly very busy (we went on a Wednesday) now under new management. Very good food - I had a great Barnsley lamb chop and wife's skate was tasty too. Staff were excellent, attentive and very friendly. You probably need to book

The Kings Arms is a grade II listed 16th century coaching Inn on the road into Sandwich from Ramsgate and is a little way out from the rest of the pubs in the centre of Sandwich.Internally itâs a fine traditional decor throughout with a wood beamed carpeted main bar area with a separate dining room behind and the main bar has the liberal use of Kentish hops from the beams and period photos on the walls to give it some character. This was the nearest pub to our accommodation and we primarily visited to eat here due to its high ranking on trip advisor, something that thankfully was fully justified on our experience. I went for the three fish main with jacket potato and mixed veg and it was substantial and high quality, and combined with very good service levels this was an enjoyable evening meal. Itâs not the cheapest place and two mains, a pint and a glass of wine was £46 with tip, but this was fully justified by the quality. It is also friendly to people just popping in to have a drink but it is fair to say that on the occasion we came in everyone in the bar was dining, and to be honest if you are just after a beer I would say there are better wet sales focussed pubs in the middle of town. The exception I would make to that statement would be on a fine weather day when you could utilise the excellent secluded garden at the back of the pub. Laid to lawn it is surrounded by well planted and well maintained flower beds that were a riot of autumn colour and would not have been out of place in the nearby Salutation Hotel Gardens. The bar has the usual draft keg options and two ale pumps which had Harveyâs Sussex Best and a badged Kings Arms Hotel Pale Ale which was brewed for it by Laine Brew Co. from The Laines in Brighton. We tried both on our visit and they were well kept. There is a small car park that seemed to be permanently full with the cars of the staff here, but fortunately there is a large public car par almost opposite the pub.

Lovely warm welcome, accommodation very comfortable and well providedFood on offer excellent in terms of choice, taste, presented very well...and importantly delicious. It was well served by polite and helpful young staff, who were engaging but equally not overly present. Wine list was good. We will recommend it to friends and we will be returning.Thank you, and we are pleased to receive your feedback, and look forward to your next visit.regards,Marilyn.

An historic sea-side pub and restaurant in St Margaretâs Bay, near Dover, The Coastguard invites you to dive in to superb food and drink while enjoying an epic view over the waves. Britainâs nearest pub to France, the Coastguard has kept watch on the sea-
We visited The Coastguard on a rainy chilly evening in October. The location of the place is just great, right on the beach. We even enjoyed the windy road down - my fellow travelers wondered how on earth I found this place! The food was excellent, the staff very welcoming, friendly, helpful. The only downside to our visit was that the pub was not very warm. They must have had the heating turned off. It would have been a lot cosier if the temperature was a little higher.Thank you for your review. Sorry that the pub was a bit cold. We are just at that time of year between having the heating on and off - also soon we will have our roaring central fire going! Hope to see you again.
