Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Had quick service. Did have to ask for a side substitution on my meal that has always been acceptable before, but the waiter seemed to take issue with it this time. After checking, the waiter agreed to the substitution.

This places seems to be popular with a lot of my friends for some reason. I have ate at a number of their other locations over the years, but anytime a friend wants to meet up for a drink, this is a place they suggest. The food is pretty good, with a nice variety and fair price. This location is busy a lot of the time, where parking can be problematic if you go at peek dinner times or weekends. While it looks decent sized from the outside, not so much. They do have a pool table and a few games in there should you be interested in that kind of thing over by the bar and high tops area. They also have plenty of tables and family seating toward the front end of the building. When I go here, I will order their cheese sticks or Gyro most of the time. I do not drink, but they seem to have a lot of drink specials for those interested like my friends. They have some TV's on the wall as well if you are there to watch a game and grab a brew. All in all, a middle of the road place with good food at decent price.

I wanted to try something new on the menu, besides the norm. Granted, I don't come here alot and I can see why. First of all, my 22 oz beer was warm, who wants warm beer, 2nd, my entree was tough to cut thru and chew as well, the side of potatoes were cold, plus they forgot the chutney that came on the pork chop. I was so disappointed and not happy. It wasn't the waiters fault. He did a very good job. I was offered a free dessert to make up for the meal, not happening. So they took 20% off the bill. Normally, I do not complain about food at local restuarants. I should had it taken back and got something else I suppose. I think some one there needs another lesson in cooking pork. I am sorry. But I'm done with Applebees. I have given them every opportunity to redeem themselves and each and every time, I have had a disappointed meal. I will just stick to my local haunts when I go out.

Located in the heart of Portage, Lodo Company has been locally owned and operated since 1998. In October of 2014, the business transferred to new ownership with a goal of offering fresh local food at reasonable prices. There is a rotating selection of bee
Visited this restaurant/bar with 5 friends for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy at all, only three tables occupied. Menu offered many options and the food was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed a good chicken salad sandwich with pasta salad (pasta salad not great). A friend had the black and blue burger and mashed cauliflower and she really enjoyed her meal. The place is on the dark side inside. The server was slow to take orders and even slower to deliver beverages. We had to ask for refills which we didn't understand given that they were not busy at all. I feel this establishment has great potential if only they could get better help.

The Taphouse has a great selection of beers on tap to choose from, including many locally sourced from around Michigan. However, if you aren't adventurous in your eating habits, you may have some difficulty finding something to eat. They make their own tater tots, which I was excited about, but quickly decided they were ok, not what I had been hoping for. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. It's a good stop for a local craft beer.

Monelli's is the perfect place to take the family, meet friends or even watch the game. We serve up some delicious cusine, but really take joy in serving some amazing brews!
Walked in and greeted and seated immediately. Ashtyn was a perfect waitress and helped my wife with her food allergy issues (gluten, soy, and dairy) and our strawberry lemonade never ran dry. I had Meat lovers pizza and my wife had grilled chicken made special for her and both were great. A big thank you to Nancy for recommending Monelli's .

Having been to the "Kalamazoo" location (Oshtemo), we thought that we'd try the original in Portage. They are pretty much the same place. They both were built from the ground up to resemble more a Chi Chi's or a Bennigans than an actually microbrewery. They appear to be popular with families with small children.
