I like Chili's food -- well done menu, tasty food. But, in general, staff training is poor. Certainly this was true for the Pleasanton location. Our waiter was friendly and attentive -- top marks in this area. But, when we were seated, they had to clear a table for us. Literally all the tables around us required clearing. It looked as though there had been a food fight in the area where we were seated -- napkins and food on the floor, tables askew -- a real mess. Of course this was a serious put-off for us, we went ahead and ordered. Eventually the messy tables were cleared, but no one made much of an effort. Then two members of staff dragged chairs across the tile floor to do some re-arranging. The noise was awful -- one of those chilling, screetching sounds. One wonders how anyone could do this in the presence of clients. One of my daughters wanted to leave because of the horrible sound.I hope someone from Chilis reads this. Good food alone is not enough to bring me back. Better training is a must.

We went to this place at the recommendation of a friend. The wine and beer flight were acceptable. The food was average. The service was excellent and price was appropriate. We missed the wow factor. Will we go back yes maybe but there are better places.

Took the family including grandkids for lunch at Main St. Brewery. The place was pretty quiet with few tables full. We ordered a variety of burgers, fries, veg sandwich, and chicken wings. Everyone enjoyed their selection. I had the Vegetarian Philly which is sauteed mixed veg and chooses on a roll. It comes with either fries or a salad. I really like this sandwich. It has a nice variety of grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Our server was attentive and interacted well with the kids.

We tried the place today (Easter Sunday). The patio was crowded but there were lots of seats available inside. Decor was very simple, basically chair and tables and tv's for those who wanted to watch sports. Lots of room to hang out.The sandwiches are pricey, $15 on the average. Soda and lemonade is at $3.75. Milkshake is at $6.50. And the burgers were rather small, they came with a side , the hubby and son both ordered fries. The husband ordered the Cubano which he said was ok. I tried the Clam chowder which is today's special and I regretted it. After having the clam chowder from Boudin's or Sourdough , their chowder is mega fail for me.The manager came by and asked how it was and I guess my expression gave me away so I admitted I did not care for the chowder. Service was not consistent, our own server was not so good on refills. No offer of refill on our water, oh well. I must have looked pained or bored so one server dropped by to ask if we needed anything. There were enough server but they seemed to be lost in what they had to do. It took awhile before somebody stopped by to check if we have been served. This place may be good for those who enjoy the downtown scene and have a drink or two and just hang around. But I don't think we'll be back.

I was visiting friends in Pleaston and we spent an evening here in their beer garden. Away from tourists and very residential in felt like a good neighbourhood bar.The choice of beers was good and my burger tasted excellent. As the evening got colder heaters ensured we could stay outdoors. Very good. Thanks

We ate here on a Saturday night. There weren't many people dining. We thought the menu selection was pretty good, the food good but nothing special. The service was very good, the wait person was attentive but not overly so. It's a nice restaurant. I'd try it again.

The Hopyard has a great selection of rotating beers. On Tuesdays, they usually features a select brewery. Sports are always on the televisions. And the dart boards are usually open. The food is mixed. Some of the items, such as the burgers and fried chicken (special) are solid. Some of the salads are not.

I enjoy this place for the rotating beers and the fun atmosphere. I donât enjoy this place because I never know what to order. The tacos are dry. The Mac and cheese is too rich. The wings and the different sauces I find distasteful. The hamburgers are only okay. They donât have good mustard which is a problem for me. The salmon is small and overpriced. Difficult to get seating often. Run out of certain beers often. Sometimes too loud. Staff behind the bar, hit and miss. Overall over priced. Many alternatives in the area.
