Hubby and I went here based on several good recommendations posted elsewhere. To say that our expectations were crushed is putting it mildly. When we arrived at dinner time the dining area was practically empty and the bar area was _almost_ empty. There were three large screen TVs showing basketball games and each TV was set to LOUD.The table at which we were seated had a tacky surface and when I commented on that to the waiter he came back with a dirty wet cloth and attempted to clean it. No joy, obviously. The air conditioning vent was above us and I asked to be moved to a different table but the waiter said that this was his station and he couldn't move us. Excuse me? There was no one else there!OK, so we'll put up with the tacky table and the cold air. We ordered appetizers and our entrees. Hubby had a beef dish and I had a fish dish...which at this point in our evening out doesn't mean a thing because we were only half way through our appetizers when our entrees were delivered! We sent them back. The waiter tried to bring them out a few moments later and we sent them back again with the comment of "How about checking with us before you bring them out? Or are you in a big rush to leave for the evening?" I guess we weren't snarky enough because a few moments later there he was again! Just leave them! We finished our appetizers only to find that not only were our main meals stone cold but they were over-cooked!Sorry...never, ever going back!Oh yes....the waiter, after delivering our dinners left! Never came back to ask if we wanted coffee or desert...just walked out the front door. Our bill was delivered by someone else and we left no tip.

This is a small, locally owned place located near Lunardi's market. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. They are known for their burgers (the Mona burger is awesome) but they have really good salads too. They have a variety of options for their fries, the portions are huge and great for sharing. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass and on Tuesdays bottles of wine are 40% off.

I ate at Fat Maddie's with my wife and friends not expecting too much, other than good, standard American fare - you know, burgers, sandwiches, etc. However, their menu was very diverse and had some Southern dishes which we decided to try. The Gumbo and Shrimp and Grits were our favorites. The Gumbo was rich and filled with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage. The Shrimp and Grits was six large shrimp on a bed of creamy grits with Tabasco butter. Well done!

Yesterday my husband and another couple ate lunch at Wise Girl. We have been steady customers since the restaurant opened. The service, the staff and the food are great! We have never had a meal that we have not enjoyed! The menu, though, selective, is well thought out with something for everyone. Items range from pastas, chicken, beef, fish to salads and sandwiches. The desserts are also very tasty! I love the bread and olive oil dip that comes while we are deciding what to order. The bar drink menu is very extensive! We love being served by Cara! She can concoct any cocktail and is very warm and friendly! We love their calamari and their seafood soup! The salads are always fresh and delicious. The portions are large. Usually we end up with a doggie bag or two! We love that it is a local neighborhood hang out! Regulars come in and they know exactly what they want. It is also quiet enough at lunch to have a great conversation. We have been there for dinner, too. The menu remains the same for both lunch and dinner. It is a great restaurant for the price, service and atmospheres.

Good food, excellent service. Sometimes a bit of a wait on Sunday mornings, but worthwhile. The Greek scramble (gyro meat, egg whites, tomato, green onion, feta cheese on crispy hash browns) is particularly good. We're there most Sunday mornings, and we're not the only regulars! It's a good place.

After several visits over the last 3 years, my experience has consistently been great food and great service. I've had lunches and dinners here, with parties varying from 2 to 12. They have delicious food options and the service quality is always on point. They have yummy drink options too!
