This is a great place to eat if you are looking for a delicious reprieve from Mexican food. We all ordered the schnitzel with cabbage, and it was enough food that I was able to eat the rest for lunch the next day.

Our return visit with neighbours to thank them for house sitting was a genuine special time and experience that suited the occasion. Warm welcome and attentive service along with, OMG, great beverages and an amazing wine list added to the fun of the evening, we have since sent other finds to dine there . . . quick hint though is to eat inside as their outdoor patio area is within inches of 1st and all the vehicular traffic. It was four years since our previous visit to Playa and our anniversary dinner at The Grill, and the restaurant remains a first-class choice for magnificent dinners. We ate there twice on this occasion, and had wonderful experiences on both nights.Rogelio was our server, and it was a fun reunion since we remembered each other from our visit in 2015. He is a master at pacing the meal and providing inconspicuously attentive service. His food suggestions were on-target, and he spiced things up with a couple of tasting samples for future reference.We had steak and seafood meals, and all were beautifully prepared and tasty. Filets, prawns, and crab cakes were top-shelf, as also were the side dishes.Our desserts were unusually beautiful and tasty - works of art that were almost too nice to eat (but we devoured them anyhow).I'll wrap up by saying that we eat out most nights, and have a good perspective on how the best restaurants measure up on both food and service. We had been on a trip to the archaeological site at Tulum and were returned to Playa Del Carmen to await the Catamaran to Cozumel to get back to the Marella Discovery 2 cruise ship, we were not interested in going to the shops or beach and so decided to find a bar for a couple of drinks.As such Sr. Dan's was spot on for watching the world go by and for location to the port, nice to relax after a long day out.

I found myself in Playa del Carmen for 5 days earlier this month, and I happened upon this bar. I sat down and had a couple beers, and they were delicious. What really set this place apart, however, was the service. Beers were presented and poured with care, and I could tell the staff genuinely cared about my experience, checking in every so often without being overbearing. In particular Berni took phenomenal care of me, and I came back two more times during my stay just to have a beer and have a word with Berni. Cool dude, cool place, and I highly recommend!Hi Mike, thanks for visiting us and for your review.We're really interested in our costumers to have a unique exprience with exican craft beer.We hope to host you in your next visit to playa. Wife and I got excellent service and attention from Roberto and Mauricio. They were very kind, helpful and attentive with us. Food was excellent and the "Crepa con caramelo" was very good with it being made at the table.
