Things to do in Plantsville

I recently visited 75 Center for appetizers, and drinks. The waitress was very nice, the food and drinks were great. However, when my party and I were at our table playing jenga after enjoying out appitizers, I hear the owner kicking a patron out of 75 Center. The young man was voluntarily walking out with the owner, the owner had the young man grabbed by the arm, but he wasn't opposing, as they were beginning to get to the door the owner took the young mans drink out of his hand, and the young man said "I paid for that"..... The owner said I don't care, get out of my bar (much vulgar than that, for review purposes I will keep it PG) At this point they were near the door, and because the young man stopped to mention he paid for his drink, the owner decides to grab this young man by the hair, and pull him out by the hair!!!! Now, let me mention I work in the customer service industry, and if this owner wants to keep his businesses going for many years to come, he needs to lay off his high horse and learn how to handle 'unruly' clientele. Regardless of the owner's reason to kick this young man out of his bar, the owner could have, and should have, handled it like a true business man. He should have QUITELY escorted the young man out, but if that was impossible to do, he still had absolutely NOOO right to pull this young mans hair. The owner absolutely crossed the line. At this point the young man is outside of 75 Center, and must have called the police because he was waiting quietly outside of the bar for 15-20 minutes. Throughout this time, the owner went outside antagonizing the young man, multiple times to leave the area. When the owner came inside the bar, he begins to speak to his staff/bouncers and tell them why he kicked the young man out. The owner says he walked into the back area of 75 Center and told him to move, and because he didn't he kicked him out..... UNBELIEVABLE! How about, the owner learns the basics of courtesy, and then maybe he could learn to run an establishment. I will NEVER step foot in his businesses, which are 75 Center and 66 Church St., I will never contribute $1 to these businesses because of his lack of customer service.

Established in 1966, Chip's Family Restaurant creates a warm, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like you've known us for years when you walk through our doors. We believe in quality food and excellent service. Everything is homemade and our pancakes
Great atmosphere with wonderful friendly staff. The breakfast menu is outstanding with food that is different and delicious. I had their potato pancakes that were huge in size and were the best I have ever tasted. You can't get these just anywhere and was surprised to see them on the menu. My husband had their pancakes and omelets and was just as pleased with his choices. You can get breakfast any time of the day and night and lunch/dinner anytime of the day and night.

Met friends at Cadillac Ranch this past Saturday to celebrate Memorial Day and dance the night away. We arrived when the doors opened at 6:00 to have dinner before the dancing started at 7:00 pm, the Partner Lesson started at 8:00 pm, and the Line Dance Lesson stated at 8:30 pm. The food is your typical bar food at a reasonable price and the wait staff is very helpful and pleasant. And yes, there are pool tables, a mechanical bull to ride and a sports bar area if you don't dance. The Dance Instructors are some of the best in Fairfield County and the dances are always current favorites. The dance floor was packed and we had a great evening with great friends. All for an entrance fee of only $5.00.

Just wanted to say that I read stop the DJ and have to apologize. Not that we can please everyone but our Brunch with a DJ has done really well. We take mass phone calls for reservations but none needed. We have tried different things and this has been the most popular as friends and customers keep saying how they can't wait for Brunch on Sunday's.The brunch might not be for everyone but he only plays from 11-3.If u do want brunch but feel the DJ is to much we do start Brunch at 10.

Wood ânâ Tap in Southington is our go-to place when we want a quick meal in a nice environment. We like to eat at one of the booths in the bar. The wait staff is friendly and service is usually quick and efficient. I love their Bar Bites (sliders) my husband often has angel hair pasta. For an inexpensive quick dinner or lunch this is a good value.

Trendy Gastropub featuring local and hard to find craft beer. All our food is locally sourced, we have gluten free and vegetarian options. Eat Fresh, Drink Local
Cool place in the center of Plantsville. The bartender greeted us as we walked in the door and she was friendly and attentive till the time we left. The list of beers on tap is two pages long and consists of some great beers including local brewerys. So I went with a flight to taste four of them before deciding on a glass for later. Best of the night was the Thirsty Dog Bourbon Barrel Wulver. I like a menu that has unusual items on it to choose from and I got excited to see some of the great choices. I ordered the alligator chili and buffalo burger. Alligator Chili Verde: Smoky ground alligator with stewed tomatillos, green chilies, jalapenos, green onion and cilantro.Buffalo Burger: Ground bison, grilled onions, lettuce, pickle, black pepper & garlic mayo.AWESOME !!!Looking forward to our next visit for more great brews and food.

We're the new tavern here, but we bring with us all the character of our past experiences in the food and music industry. We wanted to create a place where musicians, food and drink enthusiasts and the community could all come together. A bar is only as l
Service was wonderful, food was absolutely delicious, especially the donut wings. And their homemade lemonade is quite the treat.

I've been to Ideal Tavern three times in the last six months - every visit far exceeded my expectations. Service is excellent and food is unique and so good. Their beer, wine, and cider selection is impressive. The brunch menu is so appetizing that it's difficult to choose - you'll want to order everything!Reservations suggested for dinner, it's small so it can get crowded quickly.

After weekend with family, decided to treat myself to my birthday dinner at Sams. The music was brain hemorrhage inducing LOUD. I'm half deaf, and if I had trouble with the volume, I can't imagine the pain it was inflicting on people with full hearing. I have always loved their fried calimari, as you'll see from my prior 5 star reviews. Not today. Got mostly tentacles and they were overcooked. Same issue with fried shrimp. The only thing that kept this from being a one star meal was the server. I paid $32 (after tip) for a $5 meal. Very disappointing.
