German-themed Bierhaus, Restaurant & Sports Hall with fine food and the world's best bier (36 Draft Taps & 100+ Bottles). Massive big screen TV's to catch all European & North American Sports while enjoying a fun and lively atmosphere. Ranked 1 of the 9 B
My daughterâs soccer team had reservations to dine here while in the area did a tournament. We were a large group of over 50 people. I felt they did a good job with servicing such a large group. There were a few mix-ups with bills, but they addressed it well. The Raptors-Milwaukee NBA Game was on the night, proudly displaced on plenty of TVs throughout and one full wall projection screen. Nice! The menu certainly leans to those who favour meat with only salad or and eggplant burger for vegetarians. Wine can be orders in 6 or 9oz options and of course, there was a large selection of beers. Prices were reasonable and food was good.

Gainsbourg is a bistro restaurant and microbrewery located at 9, rue Aubry, in the historic district of Old Hull, Gatineau, in the Outaouais region. Our place is all about the pleasures of good food and drink in a pub style establishment; the pleasures of
We were celebrating our youngest daughter's 18th birthday, so we took across the river to "Hull" (where the legal drinking age is 18). It's been many years since I hung out at the bars and discos along the infamous promenade du Portage, and they're all long gone, replaced by a few restaurants and offices. Just around the corner (I think the old Chez Henri used to located there) is Aubry, home to several bistros and bars. We were hoping for a spot on the patio but it was all full at 6:30 on a Sunday evening, so we sat inside. Gainsbourg brews many of the beers on their menu and I tried the coffee porter and the white stout: both were excellent. We started with a charcuterie board that had pork, duck, cheeses and crackers. These boards are often expensive for the amount of food provided, but Gainsbourg delivered good quantity and value for a reasonable price. For mains, we went with burgers and I was hoping for the mussels but they were out. I opted instead for the wings, which were available in two sizes. I was hungry and went for the 12 wing option. It turned out to be at least 16 full wings (drumstick and flats and whatever those little tips are called). I'd estimate it to be a good 5 pounds of wings. Very tasty, but damn....that's a lot of wings. When we got the bill, pretty much every drink was on special: the girls had cocktails for $8, the 20-ounce coffee porter was just 3.99. Service was good: the food came quickly and was hot and you can't fault them over the pricing or portion size.

No doubt affected by the comprehensive road and drainage works occurring outside the John A can only be reached on foot at present. Cosy pub feel with a good drinks list which is a little on the pricy side (let's call them capital city prices). Menu has a good selection of items at reasonable prices and service was efficient and friendly. Great place to avoid the chill of early evening.

Attached to Day's Inn. features enhanced pub food
The Brew Table has been one of our âgo-toâ restaurants for a Friday supper since opening. It is a well managed locally owned and operated restaurant with a long time loyal staff - which says a lot about management, and a good menu withh many choices. I tend to order the chicken supreme, a great dish with a creamy sauce and Swedish rosti style potatoes that never fail. The lamb shanks are full flavoured, delicious and hit the mark every time. We also enjoy the fish and chips and the home style meat loaf is filling. Fresh vegtable with most plates are always properly cooked - no mush, no toughness or under cooking either. I try and leave room for the sticky toffee pudding. It is really made for two.The vibe is level highher than a pub and much better quality food than any chain and franchise place. It is popular and usually busy most evenings so try lunch or make reservations fo supper. We have never been disappointed.

We went to this place on a Saturday when they serve brunch ( also on Sunday) and not on any other days of the week. They open at 10am and we were in line waiting for them to open. Once inside below street level its a very cozy pub which on this date became quickly full with people that wanted breakfast. We received excellent service, great choices for breakfast, and once our food arrived it was easily one of the best breakfast experience we have had in this city. Its a cult we were told about those that show up on the week end to enjoy this service and we will be part of it while in Ottawa.

Business meeting with some colleagues from Boston who claimed best burger/fries and beer they'd had in a long time. Soup was also great. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service. With leftovers they will, unlike most restaurants wrap up in tin foil than terrible plastic containers.

After a horrible meal at the Maplelawn Garden Keg location, we vowed never to darken the doors of a Keg steakhouse again. We experienced overpriced, terrible meals. After offering to treat a couple that did us a particularly nice favour, their choice was the Keg on Hunt Club Road so we agreed to take them. Special friends and special favour. Everything about the evening was fantastic. One friend is a celiac and received special attention to her dietary needs. All four of us had excellent meals and Julien was as good as it gets in terms of service.

I was excited to try this place for lunch given all the great things I had heard about it. I went today for the first time. We were greeted at the door by a waitress and told to walk upstairs, that our table would be on the left. That's right, she didn't walk us to our table, just sent us to a different floor to find it.. Weird. We found the table on our own - it was right beside the bathrooms - loud and annoying, with hand dryers running and people constantly walking back and forth. Then we had a very personable waiter who served us, took our order in a reasonable amount of time and brought drinks. We arrived around 1pm so not peak lunch hour. But we waited for our food. And waited some more. Our food took over 45 minutes to arrive after ordering, which is far too long. Mine was stone cold, including the fries. My friend's was piping hot. So clearly mine sat around waiting for hers to be cooked. Kitchen needs to learn about coordination. So, as for the bad service - go find your table on a different floor on your own, and extreme delays in getting food, this was not a good first impression. My food was cold and just OK, nothing special. Thankfully, I was there with a good friend, because there was little else to find positive about this pub. I would never recommend going to this place. Bad first impressions last a while....

Great place. The atmosphere on a Tuesday night was great with the trivia. The food was excellent and the selection of brews also impressive. Plenty of parking, clean facilities and the games available on the tables were instrumental in making the kids also make Hunters their favorite spot.
