While staying next door at the premier in we had vouchers to use for evening meals and breakfast, we have had our evening meals and must confess they have filled us up well, piping hot food, full platefuls and wellPresented The staff were very attentive and a waitress Sarah Louise was very pleasant and polite. We have booked breakfast for the morning and shall see what happens for breakfast can imagine it will be a pretty mad free for all !!!! Will definitely come back for a visit even if itâs just to come to the pub for a meal and a day out

A group of six of us visited at 6.00 pm for a booked meal. The pub was really busy, yet we were given a warm welcome. Our table was ready and we were given plenty of time to decide our food choices. The waitresses were both friendly and efficient. When asked a question about the food, they were able to answer or, as one did, went to the kitchen to find the answer. Very impressive. The food arrived after a short period of time, all at the same time, which is quite a feat as we all ordered different choices. The food quality was great. My steak was excellent and there were sufficient quantities of chips and veg, served on side dishes. Also importantly, the plates were nice and warm. Finally, the value for money is excellent in this establishment. I would highly recommend eating here.

Cosy pub restaurant serving home cooked food. We are positioned in Porth-y-waen, which is close by to the biggest waterfall in Wales. We host a large car park which has access to the beautiful main walk.
Large sandwich board advertises "WOW Steak and Chips £5.00". So called in to give it a try. Was told WOW we've run out of steak! Whilst deciding what next to order I ordered a shandy, WOW we've run out of lemonade! Decided to order fish, guess what,WOW we've run out of fish! So I RAN OUT of the pub to find one that did supply what they advertised outside.Moral of the story is that if you have RUN OUT of something, then RUN OUT and take your sign down!

Have been visiting for a few years with family and have always enjoyed the Sunday dinners. Although they are always welcoming and are very popular, have found this year the prices have increased and the meat helpings notably less generous. It's worth taking note when a little chunk of turkey comes away when it's sliced then put back in the tin! The slices have already decreased in size. Might be something worth considering when deciding next visit.

The Navigation Inn is an 18th Century canalside inn serving home made food using seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients. We offer superb real ales, and a great selection of wines and other drinks. Whether you want to enjoy a meal or just want to stop
Have been here several times over the years and have never had a bad meal. The menu choice is extensive , reasonably priced and its all cooked to perfection. The place runs like clockwork even when busy and the owner looks completely stress free which makes you feel even more relaxed.

Community centred free house. Serving great real ales, craft beers, wines. Locally made pork pie and scotch egg platters, local hand made cheese boards, antipasti. Soups and casseroles. Dog friendly.
We called in for a lunch time snack, and found it very welcoming, and friendly. It has a true sense of the past. Over the years the pub has changed owners, and the recent landlord, has certainly improved. Thus becoming a very popular venue. Throughout the week, there are various forms of entertainment. From cheese, and wine evening, to live music. The food wasnât bad also.

Weekday evening meal with my son. We both had steaks, which were tender and cooked as requested. Chips and accompanying fine green beans were also good.Service was friendly and efficient. My only slight gripe is that sauces were served in those silly little, hard to open sachets with not very good sauce - sorry, just a personal hang up of mine, I hate them!Atmosphere was friendly, warm with people just seemingly enjoying them selves - a good place to be. We will be back!

After a long drive, we stopped off at this great pub, we was greeted by the bar tender as soon as we walked in, he was very friendly & gracious which instantly made us feel welcome, the bar & restaurant area was immaculately clean & very welcoming aswell. The food looked & smelt absolutely lovely but unfortunately due to travel delay prior to our stop off we only had time for a drink. I had a half lager shandy & thoroughly enjoyed it lol the price of food & drinks are fantastic as well, so much for your value. Will definitely visit there again soon, as we plan to take our friends back with us before the summer ends. 10 out of 10 brilliant pub with very professional & friendly staff. :)

We have visited at least 8 times before and mostly on a Thursday when we travel from Staffordshire to visit my Dad and treat him to a lovely meal at The Greyhound! What a shame this time, they do say you are only as good as your last service and this was terrible. The restaurant only had two other people in it and we were seated quickly and our order taken soon after, so far, so good, Now it goes downhill, The Lamb was pan fried and like rubber, the full rack of ribs were a third missing and their service was invisible. On the plus side the Liver and onions with mashed potato went down a treat and the ribs tasted good but not what I would call a full rack. Once finished both our table and the other table sat for 10 minutes with our finished plates sitting on the table, the 3 staff (including the Chef) were sitting at a table by the bar eating, chatting and checking mobile phones while we were ignored, we wanted fresh drinks and a dessert but we gave up, paid and left. I was asked if everything was ok and I said only ok and asked if there had been a change of ownership, this met with a No and I was handed the card machine with no further comment or quiery. Sadly, this will Be our last visit for a while as the experience as a whole was poor and I will spend my money where it is wanted and I feel valued! Sad as it was our go to place to eat, Not fancy but good food and great service, all now sadly lacking.

Home Cooked Food
Sunday lunch menu - very reasonably priced £7.95 for one course - beef, turkey or pork - all with the correct trimmings. Arrived piping hot on hot plates with separate dishes of vegetables and extra gravy. Whilst Iâve had nicer beef this was perfectly acceptable - the veg were properly cooked and the gravy was tasty. Nice Yorkshire pud and a couple of roasties. The new potatoes were slightly mushy/watery but I ate the lot and thoroughly enjoyed itThe place itself feels a bit characterless but itâs clean and the staff are very pleasant Would definitely recommend
