Named after the original "Capitol Restaurant" that was in the same location years ago, we wanted to bring life back to main street & the downtown area. The walls are decorated with classic photos from the earlier years of North Adams
How many staff members does it take to place your order? I don't know the magic number, but the 7+ staff members working today in The Capitol couldn't take my order in under 30mins so I left. No apologies from any of the staff. Same crappy menu as the Hub before. I did get asked for a drink after 15 minutes. The restaurant only had 3 tables and a small group out back. Good luck surviving with no customers and staff who don't care or know how to work.
This is a hang out for young locals and college students. If you are looking for a quiet conversation.... not the place to go. The prices are very reasonable and the TV's usually have sports on.. if you care what the sports commentators are saying... again... not th eplace to go.

Craft Food & Drink featuring modern American entrees & craft sandwiches. We feature a wide selection of locally sourced Berkshire county ingredients. Stop in and try a flight of sliders or some of our house smoked wings.
It's easy to understand why Berkshire Palate receives such consistently high ratings to which we will add ours. This father & son operation delivers excellent food served with a smile at reasonable prices Our roasted vegetable salad, vegetable slider, Cuban slider, gazpacho & chicken Caesar salad were all delicious. Our only problem was that we had no room for dessert. Those are kind words and very much appreciated!
Cycling on the rail trail and we stopped for lunch. Food was good, my chicken sandwich and my wife had the quesadilla, both were good. It was busy and a bit slow, but would eat there again. Location is great as it borders the bike trail.

Large family lunch/birthday party. Place was empty, which for us was good, but for the business? Others have mentioned ownership changes, our server did as well. Service was pretty good for a large party! Most of our sandwiches were pretty good. Burger temps were not on point. My Med rare was more med well. Huge difference and did mention it, but there wasn't an offer to refire. Flavor was really good, and it wasn't too dried out either. Great beer menu which I think they can build on and further market. Having family on that side of town, we could go back, and would like to. Not your average bowling alley restaurant. Rooting for these guys as there are not too many places like this in the northern Berkshires.

My wife and I tried out the Trail House by ourselves before bringing a large group of friends. Her grilled salmon was all right, my beef medallions not as tender as they should have been, green beans might have been cooked a little longer (they were just shy of al dente). Our pecan pie for dessert was excellent, though. On the second occasion, with our friends, we all had a variety of dishes, and no one was disappointed (though I would say that the shepherd's pie could have more meat and less corn and liquid). Desserts again were fabulous. Two of my friends had craft beers and enjoyed them. Service was superb on both occasions. We'll be back!

I visited this restaurant for a Patrick Gray Jr show in April. Patrick Gray and his friend played a lot of our favorites, including âCome Togetherâ and âWagon Wheelâ. I had the fried pickles, and it was very good, and then I had the baked stuffed chicken, and it was also very good, and then I had the strawberry rhubarb pie, and it was also really good. The service and live music were both very good, and it was overall a great experience.
