Fresh Local Produce cooked by our team of chefs showcasing the best of local ingredients and produce in a relaxed pub atmosphere.
Tonight was ceilidh night, after the village's Highland Games, and this place was busy! But the staff managed the situation, produced good beer (Whiteout and Happy Chappie) while we waited for a delicious meal: Belly of Pork with mustard mash, three different carrots and fantastic garlicky cabbage and apple sauce; my wife had Cullen Skink (very good) and hot salmon salad (yum!). We both had cheesecake and raspberry for dessert. A very well served and delicious meal, thanks chaps!

Came in here for a drink before our return trip by steam train to Fort William. A lovely day was nearly spoiled when we were charged £4.10 for a single measure of Grouse whisky. I queried this and said we hadnât asked for a double. The bar maid told me this was the correct price! When we returned to our hotel in Fort William I checked the prices of whisky in the wine list and discovered £4.10 was the price of a measure of really good single malts . The Famous Grouse was priced at £2.75! If the Marine Bar was a 5 star establishment in a trendy hotspot I could just about understand the pricing but as it is a rather tired little pub with not much going for it the price charged was inexcusable. I hope this was just a mistake on the barmaidâs part and the management will give her some training in pricing correctly and carefully. If this was not a mistake then this establishment should be looked at carefully by the licensing board and Visit Scotland to prevent visitors being ripped off.

Ate here 2 nights running. 1st visit was excellent, busy, good food, good price. 2nd night the menu had changed, ? new management. More expensive for some of the same food than the night before, other items simply not there any more. Service less good on 2nd night and much quieter.
