Pike's Peak just changed up their menu, and it is so good. They still have their charcuterie plate, but they added some meat pies and some yummy brats. Salads that come with are amazing, or of course you can still have chips instead. The Adaman beer is amazing!! and of course we love the ambience. Perfect place for friends and family. LOVE it!!

I like the well drinks and sometimes the nightly specials are really good. Service really lacks here and I wish they could put some noise absorbers on the ceiling so it wasn't so loud in the bar. I live within walking distance and if it was quieter and the service was better I would go there weekly.

Several times that we've gone in, we've talked with the owner! Great place, good service, Great stories! We've done samplers and a few cocktails. Usually end up bringing home a jar. Haven't eaten here. I think they have food trucks most of the time, but have just gone for drinks.Glad you enjoy stopping by, we try to have food trucks on the weekend, but it always varies on scheduling. If you use Facebook we try to update the Food truck under the events. Hope you can make it back again soon!
Where to eat American food in Monument: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We had been wanting to try MHCC for some time, after seeing the menu. There is a lot of variety on the menu, plus specials to increase your dining options. They even START your meal with a nice basket of bread [hint, hint MacKenzie's]. POSITIVES: The food far exceeded our expectations. I had mussel/scallop linguine in champagne cream sauce. Five half-dollar sized scallops and eight mussels, perfect pasta and yummy sauce. Dinner included a large side green salad made with nice fresh mixed field greens. The balsamic vinaigrette was excellent. Perfect size to split two ways. Partner ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and haricot vert. Huge steak, perfect preparation, potatoes and green beans A+. The gravy was the best we've had outside of the Casa de Rebel. Too stuffed for dessert, so took a pass. Tip of the Toque to the chef; especially his light touch with the salt. Food prices are a very fair value, considering the quality and quantity.NEGATIVES: The room is run by a bunch of young twenty-somethings who seem more intent on chit-chat. Our waitress went AWOL for an extended period, during the meal, and nobody wanted to pick up the slack. The main dining room was closed [on a Friday night?], so you are relegated to "the Pub". I guess because it's a "Pub" in a country club, you're automatically committed to ESPN. Don't worry about the fact that you can't see either of the two TV's, because the audio is really, really LOUD! So you'll get all the play-by-play of the skate board contest, followed by a boxing match. MHCC is a really neat setting, with great food, but don't confuse the "Country Club" atmosphere with fine dining. Hmmmm, maybe they deliver. Oh, almost forgot the adult beverages: $9 for a call vodka/tonic, $8 for a minimal pour of so-so white, but the Bristol Brewing draft beer was a good call. FINAL NOTE: If you are not a member of the country club, there is an automatic 20 percent service charge. I usually tip in the 20%+ range anyway, but in this case I might have wanted to tip 15 percent, because of the mediocre service and lousy atmosphere, and slip five dollars to the chef. Not an option!

My hubby and I went on Friday evening about 5:45p, they were not busy. We were seated as the first people in a new opened section. Took the waitress forever to take our drink order. We ordered the 2 for $22. This has been great at other Chili's, not this Chili's. Besides slow service, we received our orders very cool to the touch. They asked me to cut into my steak to see if I approved. I thought it was too 'red'. The server said she would be back with a plate and they could make it a little more 'pink'. After waiting for her to after 7 mins, I ate the steak. The loaded mashed potatoes and green beans were cold. My husbands honey chipotle chicken tenders were smothered in sauce and cold. Never saw the server until the bill. We won't go back to this Chili's again.
