Reviews on Pub food in Mestre, Province of Venice, Italy. While Venice’s mainland suburb of Mestre has a history and character all its own dating back to medieval times, it owes its growth and fortune to its more powerful offshore neighbor. Unfortunately, it’s everything Venice is not: modern, industrial and cheap. But while they may not compare to the romantic canals of Venice, Mestre does have attractions of its own, including the Torre (Tower) dell'Orologio and the Duomo (Cathedral) di San Lorenzo, located on its town square, Piazza Ferretto.

Amazing place in reasonably remote location.Wonderful selection of draft Beers, I could change every day of the week and not try all to my own palate! The basic and simple Food is simply just REALLY REALLY Well done. Really clean place, way bigger and far more seating areas than we realized after our second visit in 3 days! Just don't come here and expect to sit down, it is really popular and no wonder why. The staff are really helpful and accommodating, especially considering they are constantly flat out. I have already had a MASSIVE and SERIOUSLY High Quality burger, a Pork & Hot Dog Bap, my Wife has had an exceptional Pork and Salad Toasted Meal with fresh Salad as well as a regular Toasted Sandwich.

7 or 8 beers on tap, with a wide variety, and club sandwiches which are fresh and delicious. Also their "aperitivo" with the secret ingredient beat the pants off the "solito" spritz to start off. Tough to beat.

We were looking forward to our visit we ordered 2 meals carbonara and ravioli with spinach. Ravioli, apart from the tiny portion size which was small it was tasteless and dry. Would not go back which is a shame because the staff were nice and there was an atmosphere. Bar part is fine.

We were staying a short distance away at Villa Barbarich, saw the reviews on TA and paid a visit. Great food, very simple but that's just what we needed. Brilliant service, really reasonable prices, home made limoncello at the end (for free) which was lovely. Would highly recommend! In fact we liked it so much we visited twice.

Bistrot 55 is simply a new concept of food! Made to accompany the world of pizzas steamed buns, snacks, burgers and of our dishes: you will meet beautiful and tasty dishes, a bit traditional and a bit strange... you'll love it!
Everything is so flavoursome and thereâs a great selection on the menu. Extremely reasonably priced for what you get and the quality of the food. Our waiter spoke very good English and provided a brilliant service. Would return in a heartbeat if we were to return to Mestre!

We had a dinner at Amburgharia the first night of our stay in Mestre. Overall good place, friendly stuff, creative menu, nice interior. My husband had burger with pork and spinach( can't remember name) and I had tricolore ( vegetarian). His burger was perfect, fresh, tasty, warm. Mine was tasty too but patty was kinda cold and bun wasn't fresh. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Just when you go there don't take vegetarian one :) Dear Kinga, thank you for your review. We apologize if the vegeterian burger was below your expectations and we are sorry that you did not inform us immediately. We would have made up things right away by changing it :-)Thank you again for your time and advices to improve us and for appreciating our place and service.A greeting from Amburgheria Staff

Plenty of places to eat in the area but found this gem of a place. Had the Carbonara which was excellent and my wife had the tagliatelle bolognelse, just as good. Service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. 2 mains, 2 deserts, 2 alcholic drinks and water for less than â¬60. Would highly recommend for a good evenings meal. Thanks
